Sarah Palin History Lesson on Paul Revere!!

Sure, we may agree on somethings, yet the focus is on me and how I opine.

After all, you were the one that brought this new "evidence" to the thread. I didn't see anyone else claiming that Palin was giving us all a history lesson.

It ain't the messenger, it's the message. Get it?

The reporters asked. She responded. It's historically accurate. Historians agree. What more is there to it?

Yeah, yeah. You're doing it now.

So, when you said "I can see Russia from my backyard" meant that everybody in AD already knew that Palin did not say that at all and that quote is attributed to Tina Fey who said that? And it's an obvious "satire"? Or are you really saying you actually believed Palin said that in the beginning? At least the story has been corrected so others wouldn't be misled by that quote.

If Saint Nicholas never existed, we wouldn't have the so-called kiddies' version. He had to come from somewhere, he didn't just appear out of thin air.

And grandma would still be with us. :tears:

Why quibble? She was spending time with her family. She said her quick piece. They called on her. Now they have eggs on their faces. End of story.

Spending time with her family, my ass. She is on a bus trip to keep herself in the public eye.

Dude, that overblown ego of yours will be the death of you yet!:laugh2:

The only thing anyone gets from the way you opine is a daily dose of humor.

Come on, Koko. What was the statement that Palin made that led to the satirical statement by Fey. Surely you realize all satire is built on reality?:cool2:

That's a good one! I should do a google on Tina Fey and see if I can come up with sublited vids of her. I read an interview about her in Vogue once and she came across as a very funny lady.

Apparently Fox can't tell Palin and Fey apart. :giggle:

And that surprises you?:giggle:

Finally!!!! You said it was her intent (as opposed to "She was accurate"). Alright well, I'm done with this, then. I simply disagree with you. I understand that she just came out of the museum/house so it should be "fresh in her memory" but I personally think it was information overload and she got details mixed up. It's that simple.

It doesn't affect my view on her or anything. I'd do the same for some (not all) of the gaffes she makes. Her gaffes? They don't make me think any less of her. My views of her have always been negative.

Wow! Palin was visiting the museum/house and then was asked about Paul's ride. She was not able to the question in a complete sentence , I think the way she answered the reporter made it looked like she had no idea what she was talking about! She need to take some public speaking lessons and learn how to answer questions intelligently! If that is possible !!

And lose her "folksy charm and appeal"? I don't think there's any way for her to improve her image, really.

If I had spoke that way in school my teachers would really thought I was retarded ! I do not find anything charming about her! I can't believe people think she is folksy and appealing! Can you see her at World Summit talking like that! I do not want my country to be represented by someone that sound they lived in the back woods all their life and never stepped into a school!

I think you just shorted out my mind when I was trying to think up an answer to your post! :P

Don't worry, she's got a solid spot in the media because every cable news station has ADD and our country has got a serious case of schaudenfreude, but she wouldn't ever get elected, and it's highly unlikely she'd even get the Republican nomination.
