It is ok for US to put missiles in Poland, why can't Russia put missiles in Cuba?

The U.S. missiles are to be put in Poland for DEFENSIVE purposes only as part of the Missile Shields program and most importantly they are not NUCLEAR WARHEADED. The purpose is to protect Poland and her neighboring countries and NATO partners from missile attacks which comes from rogue states like Iran.

Your country put OFFENSIVE and NUCLEAR WARHEADED missiles in Cuba in October 1962. I doubt the U.S. and Russia wants to have another October Crisis.

That is quite a difference.

Most importantly, Poland was already invaded and occupied by several foreign armies especially Germany and Russia during its history; therefore, it is another good reason why they need the missile shields there.

This administration has nothing with between Russia or Georgia so much, just only between Russia and Georgia since USA are trying assist with Georgia to prevent takeover from Russia, do you want see Gerogia to be destroyd and more sorry for citizens?

South Ossetia belonged to Georgia for so many years until the Russian Red Army invaded and made Georgia as part of the Soviet Union in 1921. After the breakup of Soviet Union, South Ossetia is a part of Georgia and many countries and the United Nations officially have recognized South Ossetia as part of Georgia.

Oh, yup, I agreed with that.

I never wanted return to cold war again, that's enough and don't think that Russia would going back to socialist like 1921 to 1991, only just want takeover some of land from Georgia.

Don´t get me wrong... I defend nobody but I see the view between Poland and Russia... Poland knew very well that accepting the missile shield would lead the problem with Russia. Yes USA also knew it as well but why they still continued to do that?

Russia did said that they do not want cold war...

US have a huge advantage, because Poland is right next to Russia, so they put it in there, and Poland is "center" of Europe/Asia/Middle East. Great location. Also US should have hold this until Russia/Georgia war is over, but they did that during their war time, very bad choice by US.

Poland haven't been invaded since September 1, 1939 by Germans, I'm assuming....

Somehow I feel that he is not directly nor indirectly influencing any of these arguments by Poland and Russia. He has level of pride for his native country, as we all should- I am positive we do. It gives no right to put his nationality any lesser than your own.

Lets not all jump to conclusions yet about any outcome of what will happen. Be patient and let this evolve and let some talks and communication take place. Be tolerant as it is very easy to let a "political" debate get out of control and turn into those getting off the whole point and literally just taking shots at each other.

The Russian troops were supposed to leave Poland when the WWII was over. They chose to stay there and installed a Communist puppet government instead.

I agree with you. I ain't jumping into any conclusion. I prefer to use wait and see approach and hopefully something positive and productive will come out of this precarious situation in best interests for these who are involved.

I always have very keen interest in this matter as I always read and watch news regarding this situation on Internet and TV.
