I remember having postings with other people online a couple of years ago about remembering issues or things that you have seen or heard before age 4. Some people say you cannot remember anything at age 2 years old. I don't think this is true though, because I remember a couple of things myself before age 4 years old. :)
My mother once said she remembers when she was about 2 years old, her grandfather was pouring some drink from a ladle for her (this is in the 1940s)....and some people say you cannot remember things from age 2? :sure:
I remember one thing when I was about 2 years old myself....I was fighting with a nurse at the hospital when I woke up and saw a needle in me and wanted to take it out. That's one of the few things I remember.
When I was 3 or 4 years old, I remember watching the TV "Bewitched" opening scene which was the cartoon Samantha flying across the screen during a vacation in Miami in early 1970s. I must have really enjoyed that part to even remember that from years ago. :)
I also remember being at a Halloween party in my preschool, and I was dressed as a witch. :) I also dressed as a lovely bride for Halloween one year -- I was 4, I think. I have a photo of it somewhere, and that is the only white wedding dress I've ever wore.
Oh yeah, I think I was a little bit older (maybe about 5 or 6 years old), when my brother decided to watch a scary show that came one often back then (Mystery Theater?).......well, they showed this egg carton that were filled with eyeballs. That must have been traumatic for me because since then, I hated for people to touch my eyes!!
Well, this is proof that you can remember some things from early childhood. :) Know why some people disagree about this (remembering stuff before age 4)?

Yes, I remember before 4 years old.

1. I remembered the light blue van who hit me on the road when I was over 2 years. (I saw my mom wave me from other side of path and got out of my Grandma's hand and ran over the road to her..................) I was shock when I saw stitches on my stomach and count it up to 16 stitches. I still have scar. (part of damage spleen was removed and have few ribs fracture).

2. I remember to threw coupons where my parents collect from cigarette packet for get something credit into rubbish bin and lit the fire into it with my siblings while our parents sleep... :giggle: We were panic to get our parents attention when the fire goes big and big from rubbish bin... The full smokes are around in the living room... We ran under our beds ... that's time I was 3 to 4 years old. (I'm eldest sister of my siblings - they didn't forget it).

3. I remember that I slipped out and hit my head to water pipe. blood from my head to my naked boby... I never forget when I saw blood. few stitches on my head.

4. Domestic volience in family.

I remember being at two preschools, one from 3 months to 3 years and the other from 3 to 5 years. In the first one, I remember having an orange ice pop stick and seeing the other kids in the class playing on a wooden slide inside. I wanted to go on the slide so I threw away the ice pop stick, but the teacher gave it back to me.
I also remember being in a baby seat in a car and seeing the tube lights inside a store. I also remember being in a crib with a bottle of 7 up soda and spilling it. :P I also remember being up late in the crib and signing where's dad? I was also scared of what I thought was a bulge in the ceiling above the crib and a dark area of the ceil near a closet door. I thought that there was an invisible scary thing living there and inside the bulge on the ceiling. :eek2: That must have been before I learned about fluid dynamics and how light falls off with distance and how lamps makes areas on the ceiling that show that effect. :)

I most remember one thing which is very fond to me.

When i was two years old, i was at the party with my family so my mum won the award for best singer. My mum went up to the stage and i follow her also until at the stage, i accidently tripped and hit the host which he fall. Woop! The audience laughed at his misfortune because no one like him, he was quite chatterbox which was annoy to them. My mum was so embarrassed but she also laughed. From that to now, people always ask, "Is you the one who trip the chatterbox host?' Ahh, at least I'm infamous in my local community.

I remember going to different pre schools.. I recall going to a church pre-school.. they had this "huge" tricycle that I fell in love with.. :dunno: and also.. the back of the church had a hill.. so they use waterslides going downhill.

Also remember going to a private pre-school, I believe I was about 4, I had a hard time communicating with the teachers cuz none of them knew signs nor did I. I kept trying to tell them I have to go to the bathroom, they never understand what I was saying so I ran. By the time I got to the toilet.. I had diahrea and found that the toilet lid was closed so I pooped all over myself and the toilet too. They had to call my mommy to get me another pair of pants..

well, its depends on memories in that age, if its really very precious memories. Like i never forget, that day my parents re gone, and my bro and my cousin babysit me, somehow we jumped on the bed. and I got off from bed, somehow my cousin (big bone) teenage guy, accidently jumped on me from off the bed. I kept cried and cried all day. They try to calm me down, i didn't. Then my parents came home, and got worried. I won't stop cry, they try to spoil to make me smile, it won't work.. and give me warm bath, wont' work. .so they knew i'm in the pain, so took me to emergency room, found out my leg was broken. My parents feel bad want to carry me, i kept mad at them cuz i want walk MYSELF! which has case from upper thigh to my foot. My cousin still obbessed til now, feel bad what happen. That occured when i was 2 and half yr old. So i'm saying, its depends on their value or precious memories can be scarred of life.

Precouisly, I barely remmy few times when i was tiny young and never forget stuck in my head.

Beautiful fury Bee stung on my somatch because I wore bathing suit has beauitful cute flower that how beautiful fury bee misunderstand and stung on me. I cried hell loud. My mom ran into and pull bee out and rushed into the hospital. I can feel blurried my eyes and tries open my eyes. *blink out* after all don't remmy.. Only I remmy before while I'm waking..

That's all I known 1 memories stuck in my head.

I can remember when I was 3, I went to Minnesota State Capitol for first time with my mom and my sister who was 7 at that time. I remember it was one nice spring warm day, and there was so many people on front stairs with many signs. I remember bumping intol my pre-school teacher there, and I do remember some things inside of the Capitol, it is either Senate or House Chamber.

I remember that my pre school or daycare was across street from old St. Paul Civic Center.

There are other things I will have to try to remember.

I remember parts of my birth and some memories earlier before 1 year.. not kidding. I would be delighted to share if anyone is interested :)

Tell US! I am interested!

Me too! I believe it is not uncommon to remember things before age 4.

-I remember being in my crib and crying because I wanted to sleep in a "big kid bed" like my brother. We shared a bedroom. I remember my crib had an elephant decal on it. I also remember attempting to climb out of my crib so that I could go lay in the "big kid bed" with my brother... heee heee I was a terrible roomie cuz I never let him sleep peacefully!

-I remember being in diapers and having my mom change my diaper.. back then my mom used cloth diapers (popular with "hippies" in the 70's) and thinking I hope that mom doesn't accidentally poke me with that big blue diaper pin!

I remember that Metro Transit buses were all red with green window, old fashioned, and that they had paper as transfer, where drivers make hole in them- only up to 10 rides I think. I tried to find the picture on internet, couldn't find one.. Ones who live in Twin Cities area maybe remember those buses.

i remember when i was 3 walking and crying down the hallway of my house because i was half asleep and i saw neon colored spiders

I also remember asking my mom is there sharks in the ocean 3 or 4 and she was like yes and i would start singing the theme song to jaws

I remember when I was 2 1/2 and I climbed out of my crib for the first time. I think it was because my parents had read a book to me that showed a little kid climbing out of his crib. ;)

When I was 3 or 4 I attended pre school.... on a bus. We lived in a small rural town, and the school building did not have classroom space for a pre-school class, so the solution was to have a "traveling" pre school stop in different rural communities each day. Kind of like a Bookmobile (if anyone lives in rural areas, they will know what the Bookmobile is-- traveling library). The pre school bus was called the "Blue Bus" because it was a big blue school bus that had the seats all ripped out and furnished with kiddie tables, bookshelves, audio equipment, chalkboard, etc. No, the bus did not move during pre-school hours. It was parked stationary behind the school building on the days that kids attended. And yes, this was during the 70's if you could fashion a guess.

I LOVED going to Blue Bus, it's still one of my favorite childhood memories after all this time and very vivid in my mind!

i remembered myself when i was 3 years old playing with a wooden train with great grandma

I have a clear memory of being stuck by one of my diaper pins while lying in my crib in a darkened room. I remember both of my parents turning on the hall light and sticking their heads in the door to see what was going on. I don’t remember what happened after that, though. I also have an incredibly vague memory of sitting on my grandfather’s lap. He died before my third birthday. This memory is verifiable, because I can recall that he was sitting in a chair on a second-story veranda that ran the entire length of the house. But it wasn’t until a was a teenager that I saw my grandparents’ house again. My father and I were driving past it, and my father said to me “by the way, that’s where my parents lived when they were alive.” Sure enough, the house had a second-story veranda that ran the entire length of the house.

I do remember some things before the age of 4 myself....

I remembered watching my mom getting ultrasound for my brother... I was not even 2 years old and remembered asking the doctor what gender it would be... and thru my dad's interpreation that I was not to tell mom that it was going to be a male ha ha.

I remember spending a lot of time talking with my brother and playing pretend games with him and our friends... playing the game of monster.

There are serveral others as well... just thought I'd put down the most valued memories :)

Ahhh, it is true we do remember everything before the age of 2, but even a child can remember when they're infants.

What age was unknow but was before 1 year old. I looked around in my crib and started shaking the crib to get my mom's attention and babbled with delight. So probably around between the age of 7 to 9 mos old.

1 year old when my mom took a pic of me. I pointed my finger at the light and said, "See the pretty light!" and the pic snapped. Hehehehee...

Even around one and a half year old, while my mom's boyfriend was driving on the freeway. I threw my bottle out of the vehicle's window. Ooops. :D And he quipped to her that I don't need the bottle anymore. They giggled. Darn he's right!

When I was two years old, I saw my mom always get so busy as a bee around the home and places we went. It was not always easy that year. I remembered watching the Star Trek original shows and some children shows especially Mickey Mouse Club.

At the age of three years old, I remember there was a knock on the door, my mom was sound asleep. Once I peeked out of the window and saw my mom's boyfriend. I couldn't unlock the doors. I tried to wake my mom up but she kept on sounding asleep. Funny. The more I tried to unlock the door the more I get frustrated. I saw my "8" ball from his hand. He knew I left it at his home while he was baby-sitting me. I wanted my billiard "8" ball. Grrrr! Couldn't open. We both looked and shrugged. He left to his truck and drove home. :tears: When my mom woke up, I told her what happened. She said, "Oops, you could wake me up, honey." Oh, yeah but she's a heavy sleeper..get real. :D

Another time at the same age, my mom and our relatives were playing games "Poker" she panicked when I saw that, she managed to tell them to hurry up and she put me in my bed. My revenge : I went out into the living room and wetted myself many times if I can. The more she tried to keep changing my clothes the more I wetted myself every 10 minutes. She panicked that when they stopped, I stopped. HA! No more stupid Poker game in our home.

At the age of four years old, we moved into a nice house. I pulled my mom's blouse until she picked me up. The pic was taken as to remember when we first move in. Gotta love it.

Of course, I can hear everything fine with just the right ear until the age of 4 1/2 years old when I lost more hearing from falling down off the tree in the backyard.

Those were the good memories...but now I missed being me before the age of 4. :( Now I'm gettin' OOOOOld!

I remember when I was 4 ish, I was in my mom's blue VW bug taking me to Pennisula Oral School in Redwood City, CA. I remember having some weird dream when I fell asleep in the backseat of the car. I don't remember much when I was 4.
