I'm trying to find out what's the reason for
Raven getting banned ? Since I have not noticed
any recent bad postings from Raven,
Maybe I missed something....
But really, I don't know the reason.

Of course, that's entirely up to Alex and MODs.

Well, As far as I see it he kept going off topic way too many times, People are getting annoying with it and complain to the Moderators. I would admit I am one of the complainer because I am tired of people making very good threads going to a waste, because of off topic, If someone cannot stick with the topic itself then it cause the whole thread confused. How would others react when they are reading this site, They would be so confused too and might say "What is this has to do with the topic itself?" If you get my drift?


I am not here to offended Ravensteve, But I am only being honest with what I am saying is how I see it. You can disagree with me if you like, but It is just the way I feel.

I don't know the reason Ravensteve was banned. It is true that he sometimes gets off topic, but many of us also do that. It is a normal part of the flow of conversation. When it happens, we can just get back on topic, or let a mod split the topics.

Yes, sometimes it is annoying to get off topic, but I don't think it is worth banning someone. If that were true, many of us would be banned by now.

I don't think it is worth complaining to the mods about. I think it is OK to request a new thread started, but I don't think complaining is necessary. IMHO.

I am gonna go "on the record" here and say I'm also glad he's been banned. I also think we should allow one of the moderators or Alex give us an explanation for the ban if they feel they owe us one. Personally, I don't thnk they do. Simple fact is, Steve broke a rule, and a mod followed simple procedure. This would have occured with any one of us if we didn't follow the rules.

Simple as that.

Knowing how he will react, he will say that this is will of God too. God wants him to be banned, thus he will be banned.

I disagree Reba not many of us do go off topic in every thread like Ravensteve does, He have done it far worst than anyone I know in AllDeaf. Everytime someone tells him to stay on topic he never listen. So I think he deserved to get banned and I am glad he did. He never learned the first time, second time and who knows the third time, If he would learn his lesson all those other times he wouldn't have a problem would he?

I personally think it was more than just going off topic. Many of us go off topic in threads like Reba suggested. I think it had more to do with his blatantly antagonistic posts and threads. But, this is just my opinion. I could be wrong. So, as I said, lets let someone who knows give us an explanation if they choose to do so. Merely speculating will get us nowhere.

Even though we support freedom of speech, show some respect, use common sense, and keep an open mind when participating in discussions.
