question????? please answer for me

i am really tired of people from jehovah witness church come my house knock on door. i have my own church and they want me go there. i told them no and not come back again. later few days they come again. i am get really mad, :mad: how do i stop JW people come my house?
 
Two Jehovah Witnesses were going door to door. They knocked on
Tammy's door. Tammy clearly was not happy to see them. She
told them in no uncertain terms she did not want to hear their
message and then slammed the door in their faces.

To Tammy's surprise, the door did not close. In fact, it bounced
back open. Seeing the two Jehovah Witnesses at the door frustrated
her. She stormed back to the door and flung it shut.

But the door still didn't close. Furious, she grabbed the door with
two hands and shoved it as hard as she could. But again, the door
wouldn't shut.

Convinced one of these rude Jehovah Witnesses was sticking a foot in
the door, she reared back to give the door a slam that would really
teach them a lesson.

Just then, one of the Jehovah Witnesses said, "Ma'am, before you do
that again, you might want to move your cat."
 
My neighborhood gets alot of door-to-door stuff. Political campaigns, sales, and religious stuff. I put up a very small sign (just a few inches, with simple typing on it) in the corner of the window of my front door, which says "No soliciting of any kind: sales, politics, religion, etc." That seems to have stopped a very large percentage of it. On the occasion when someone doesn't notice (or chooses to disregard) my sign and rings the bell anyway, I ask them to read the sign. That seems to take care of the rest of them.
 
As for anyone knocking at your door- just decline to respond other than NO THANKS! WALK AWAY.
Hard for one to interact when one shuts the door and walks away.

No one is "obliged" to "listen" Use ASL et al if DEAF.
 
put the SIGN of " BEWARE OF DOGS BECAUSE OF YOU!"
on your door. :giggle: You can tell them that you are not interested and if they come back then don't open the door.
 
One time two JW gals came to stop by (they both know ASL) and all I did was to open door with my dog next to me, and they were showing me a DVD of Jesus and asked me a question, I told them, no I am not interested. They both didn't even look at me, just stare directly at my dog, and says "wow" then moved to another house. :lol: Next time I should make video of it, it's really funny.

A guy stopped by and asked me that today is special day if they do clean carpet (include shampooing) with their brand new KIRBY vacuum and I let him do wash carpet at my living room at no charge. At end of the work, I told him I am not interested with this vacuum as I have two vacuums at garage. I gave him twenty five bucks as tip so I can be guilty-less. I don't think I would let it happen again in the future.

NO SOLICITING sign should stop from them bothering us.
 
Put up a sign "No Religious Soliciting" and point to it when they come by again.

They have a knack for going after people that are not very strong & direct.

Keep in mind that the JW church forces their people to do this, otherwise they 'will be punished', and are trained to be persistent. They don't care who you are, they need more 'victims', so train yourself to think this way, and build up the courage to tell them in their faces 'don't come back'.

Do you ever wonder how they know a deaf person lives at your address? I had a pair show up at my door, signing, claiming that my neighbor told them I was deaf. I knew that was a lie. I know all my neighbors, and they know that I'm not deaf.

Also, I was interpreting for a deaf consumer at a hospital, and two of them (hearing signers) showed up at the hospital room. They chatted for a while with the deaf consumer, and then left. The deaf consumer was from out of town (and a friend to me), so I was surprised that she had local acquaintances. She told me that she had no clue who they were. So, who violated HPPAA on the hospital staff and let the JW's know that there was deaf person at the hospital, and gave them access to the room (which was in a restricted wing)? :hmm:

Deaf friends have told me that if they ignore the knocking on the door, the JW's will continue knocking on windows!

In SC, you can answer the door with your shotgun in hand. :D

Just tell them to buy a bike or else you won't listen to their version. If they won't buy a bike, tell them, well, then I'm not interested. Make them pay to give you a sermon :)
 
oh please ..earlier today i shout down stairs the exact time jw knock on door and my husband telling them i out,so embarassing
 
First of all, i am backkkk and secondly, last year or two years ago there was two JW couple came here and tried to knock the door and we tried to ignore them but one of the couple picked up the broom handle and pounding on our door while i peek through the peephole and i was very angry inside with this person so i flung the door quickly at them and blaw at this person not ever to pound on our door with broom stick and told them not ever come back again as we are not interested your (their) religious and then two weeks later, they wrote a letter to apologized to us about pounding our door with our broomstick without our names are.... Obviously, they do not know our names were that time and they never came back ever since..... Good riddance!!!!

When I was in Rochester for college years ago. A JW guy went to my friend's apartment one day. When my friend opened the door, he immediately identified himself and that he knew my friend was deaf. My friend was puzzled and wanted to know more. So, he invited the guy in. He let that guy talk for 30 minutes before thanking him and walking him out. Just before my friend closed the door, he asked... "How did you know I was deaf?" That guy's response? "I have a list of all deaf people in Rochester and their addressed." My friend immediately grabbed the list and slammed the door close on that guy. That guy didn't even bother trying to get it back... which is an admission of guilt knowing what he did was wrong by even having that list in the first place.

Yeah, they can be really annoying.

There was one woman who came to the dorms that I was staying at during my last year in college. She had her little kids go door-to-door handing out JW pamplets. I had to call security on her to have her escorted from campus.

I stopped them this way....they came to the house, I let them talk to get it out of their system, and when they finished speaking, I said "That's right! The Catholic Church has been saying this for years!! Finally, someone gets it!! Have a great day!" They never returned....

Hubby told them once he had a very contagious disease that is transmitted by breathing and they better leave.
 
I have a glass security door that I absolutely love. It was great when the kids were home cos you can open the front door and still have the security. I seldom answer the front door but yesterday I was expecting a package and to my surprise it was two sales people from AT&T. I asked if it was a package and then just said I was deaf and closed the door.
