Have you received a promise ring from your boyfriend or husband that u have been with for a long time now?

I never received a promise ring before in my life but I would like one when I will be in a serious relationship with a guy. It can be great for couples that doesn't want a marriage but to be steady together for a long time. :)
 
Yes I did from RR, when I flew down to Iowa to meet RR for the very first time in person, he gave me a promise ring before I left to go home....It was a heart with a cross in the middle.....I still have it and even wearing it on my right hand , now I have two rings from RR, one on the left and one on the right....When he first gave me that ring I wore it on my left hand.....


I've never got a promise ring like that before until RR came in my life..... :ily:
 
yea i had few promise rings from my ex...


my ex hubby gave me promise ring then later got me engaded ring then got married... smile..
 
Yep I did have a promise ring from my two exs I still have those rings in the jewerly box :)
 
Awww.. I have had a promise ring from my first love, it was a gold rose, But, I'm not sure if I still have it, I remember it broke. :(


I would love another promise ring again from someone else who would really love me and is serious with me ;)

What is a promise ring?

Is it Christian or occultic?

I know about the Christian purity rings, engangment rings to marry, but a promise ring?

I neve have promise ring i wish have someone who give me LOL but i m single :nana: but you know that promise ring is VERY IMPORTANT TRUST and FAITH before become SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP So you will get from someone who really cherish you so much :giggle: BabyKat
 
I don't think I have a promised ring but did got enagaged twice. So now I am not into marriage stuff. ICK!

They look like tacos, they are about seventy pounds, and they reek of lizards.

You wear them on your nose.
 
Never had a "promise" ring. There was no such thing when I was dating. If high school girls were going "steady" with a boy, the boy would give the girl his high school ring to wear. If couples were serious about each other, they got engaged and the man gave the woman an engagement ring. That's all.

Yeah that makes sense. I remember seeing those things done. I never bothered with getting a high school ring. They were very expensive. I think it was $80. to $120. at that time for a high school ring. :gpost:
 
Definition of Promise Ring

I never had one, but in high school and college I always wore a beautiful gold claddaugh ring with emarld heart. When I went steady with this guy then I turned my ring facing to my heart.

Youre Irish??!!! :fruit: :thumb: I plan to give my man a Claddagh ring and have a Claddagh tattoo on my back to show loyalty, friendship and love to him :)
 
I have promise ring from my b/f since June 2005 since we met for the first time. we met each other by deafchat we keep touch each other for a year before met in person for the first time. right now we are two years in Oct, 2005. the promise ring is have two small heart on each side with big heart in the middle with all of diamonds in hearts.

Seems like this is a new thing because in my time it was just the varisty letter jacket and the high school ring.Thank you for the article.:gpost:
