February 13 2004 at 09:41PM

Newport, Arkansas - An American prison maths teacher has been reprimanded for substituting units of cocaine and methamphetamines while testing inmates on their multiplication skills.

Instead of using apples and oranges to calculate ratios, the instructor at an Arkansas prison used rocks of cocaine and meth ingredients. Among his questions: "Rico sells 422 rocks a week in four territories. He wants to expand to seven territories. If he continues to sell at the same rate, how many rocks a week will he sell in seven territories?"

A letter of reprimand had been placed in the teacher's file, Arkansas department of correction spokesperson Dina Tyler said.

(The answer is 738.5 rocks.) - Sapa-AP
Whoa, this is fucked up! :eek2:

 ...A Crack Teacher?...hmmm...Maybe she wasn't making enough money as being a Teacher...

sheeeitt! that teacher is too crazy to teach so repo her/his teaching license and kick her stupid arse! LOL!

so high she couldn't understand how pitiful she is

Stupid or not.. I think the teacher was trying to get the inmates' full attention and learn math.

yea Deaf258 thats my thought too altho its a poor choice of using examples *smh*

I wouldn't really blame the teacher for using that kind of teaching methods. It's probably the only way the prisoners could learn. Heh!

Exactly!!...It's what I first thought of...that she was trying to get the attention of these misfits/prisoners....to try 'math'...without making it boring, etc...but yet, that is a poor choice of how to 'teach'....shoulda been more of using...'bars'...'locks', etc...that sort of thing? heh heh...but however it went...that's going a bit too far in order to grab their attention.
