PITTSBURGH (AP) - Six more jail guards were charged Wednesday in a scheme in which prosecutors say female inmates were given cash, drugs and other contraband in exchange for sex.

In all, 10 Allegheny County Jail guards have been charged with institutional sexual assault in the case, which involves at least 24 female inmates, District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. said.

Two of the four jailers arrested in January faced additional charges after being arrested again Wednesday.

Zappala said the arrests followed a two-year grand jury investigation that found female inmates were bribed with drugs, cigarettes, drugs, cash and other illegal contraband.

Court documents show that investigators got a break in June when an inmate who arrived for a hearing was found carrying drugs stuffed in a sock.

Authorities said inmates began cooperating with an ensuing investigation, saying that one male guard was able to talk an inmate into performing oral sex because she was ``a junkie.''

Other inmates traded sex for cigarettes and prescription drugs, according to court documents.
 
see, this is WHY I dont think girls' prison should ever have male guards...I dont trust them.

well steel, even a woman guard can do the same thing :P
 
yea thats known to have happened in prisons -- its totally unprofessional of the CO's to be doing that but ahh it happens cuz of greed/lust/whatever the true reasons may be -- there are also sex between inmates as well -- sometimes in full awareness of the guards im sure

Yeah I know but male guards are alwasy stronger than females and would do anything as possible to force them into anythin they dont want to do...and yes I know female guards can do the same but they aren't as strong as male guards are anyway... rape are often caused by males, you know :roll:

Actually, there are women who can beat up the crap out of men because they are trained to defend themselves.
 
yeah most women ALWAYS has to be trained into defeating men but most men dont have to because they get rough by using strength and stuff like that you know? most males has more muscles than females do so it's how they get stronger faster than females do...no offense
 
its no difference in any aspect ALL prison are either drug runned or inmate runned, belive me i know :-X that's all i ll mention on that subject bit other than that there have been women sexual assult amongest inmates and they too also get charged with assult as well and an addtional sentence or parole violations as well! So it's no news to me!
 
A female prison guard fall in love with a male inmate and help him and his friend to escape from Reception Centre in Melbourne, Australia, couple of years ago, and a few years later a film was made about this TRUE story. Weirdo people, it show how much she gave up her life for this convict man!!

again, female guards shouldn't be in male prisons also...

I dont believe that there should be guards of opposite sex in prisons

I think They are stooooooopid because not even think twice about repluation.. ((chuckles)) Done is for.. their asked for it..
I think it best for oppsite sex guard in prision.

okay why do you think that? you know in prisons ppl of opposite sex would try to harrass or rape a person almost all the time...you know that prison males would hit on female guards and if either of them were alone, one would get hurt. same thing with male guards working in female prisons...one of the guards would just try to act innocent only because he's a guard...and would try to hurt her and rape her no matter what...some wouldn't even believe what the prisoners were saying because they think all prisoners are liars :roll:

maybe it has something to do with lack of economy and jobs, etc...maybe there aren't enough jobs for men and women and the apporiate place to work at...

Of course, I dont consider apporiate for male guards working at female prisons where there would be most rape caused by a man almost everyday :roll: so, if rape was caused by same sex, it proably doesnt happen as much as opposite sex does anyway...but of course, prisons can be so creepy you would never know what's coming...I'm lucky I've never been to one anyway
 
tough women have right to work as guard. No wonder you think you're nazi for demand to have men only. *whistle* :mrgreen:

Depends on prision location which may be lair also..
some of woman who muscular can managed with prisoners women.
 
yeah and it's better that it's not done by the male...because it's a prison for girls! I know I sound weird but there should be guards who find apporiate to work in anyway...depends on which prison is filled with...males or females so just to make it less risky, you know?
