Why does Norway have one of the lowest murder rate and the USA has four-five times as much killings as Norway. Yet Norway longest sentence (of ANY sorts) is 21 years, and they never killed anyone as a punishment..

someone is going to use the same argument why guns should be banned.
 
beside, Norway have less poputation than U.S. so it is hard to judge about crime rate. Even in small towns in the U.S. have less crimes than in the city.
 
many million married couple have problems for reasons....

husbands will go in prisons for problems like drugs,murder,whatevers in case but judge say how long serve in prison will be..But wife hardly worried about husband's jail!! And Wife can leave him for divorce or kept married..

my hometown also crimes highly but im sure in country less than USA i would agreed with lighthouse77..
