Well, that includes extremists as well. In fact, it could describe those sleeper cells, too.

I see. And how did you come up with that number?

Ok, I admit it. You caught me. Reading the Quran will turn you into a terrorist because it says kill all those evil bastards and Mohammad was a jew killer. All muslims are terrorist. Thanks for reminding me. Can we now move along?

You didn't even specify what "American values" are.

When it's left hanging, all one can do is try to gauge it from the surrounding sentences which had negative views of Islam; which is in opposition of "freedom of religion."

Yet, you jumped w/o asking. After all, I do recognize America's melting pot and the history of what made this country great.

Ahhh...the belief system of those that have never bothered to read the Quran.:giggle:

I fell asleep while readng the Quran a few time.

It was like re-reading the Bible or the Torah twice... Only just minor tweaks here and there... some important figures named in romanized Arabic rather than romanized Hebrew or English.

Quite true...and a very salient point!

I didn't say that nor was that my implication. I asked you what is a "normal" Muslim. I am trying to understand from your viewpoint on what makes a Muslim a "normal" Muslim.

Again, what makes a Christian a normal Christian?

What are "American values?" Are they identified with a trademark symbol? Little lapel flags? So many people throw around the phrase but have no real definition for it.

Could it be for standing up for freedom, human rights, tolerance, and the love of humanity?

Yeah... that was when I figured out... no matter what translation or revision you read, people will still have the same values with the same self-projection of interpretation regardless of how the scriptures were worded.

Bingo. It is a universal truth. Quite the shame that people cannot seem to apply it as such.

Interesting.. Going to read the whole bible for the first time in my life after finishing my current book. Look forward to it, and hope it will make the Quaran more understandable. Skimmed through it once, and it looked like a mess.

I was actually involved in academic research on the Quran and Social Justice. Not light reading to be sure! But then, neither is the Bible, unless one simply looks at the words there in a very superficial and literal manner!

I have already responed. You are asking like a faultfinder. If you want to prove yourself as something more than a faultfinder, give me your definition of normal, or two or three examples, and I will honestly try to communicate to you what I mean with normal. If the term "normal" don't make sense to you at all, then I am not the proper person to help you.

No, I won't leave out American values. I didn't specify any ethnic values but American values.

you mean "kokonut values" which is Islamphobic
