I am very sorry you had to deal with his group.
Our community handled it very well. Mostly they ignored them. They didn't intimidate anyone here with their baloney. They'll probably come back anyway--I think they like the beach and shrimp.

Looks like the moral intended from the story is "The only good Muslim is an ex-Muslim.":P

I have read through the threads. For us North American Indians, to the white people thinking that a good Indian is a dead Indian which I despise that kind of remark or phrase. To the whole North American (both Canada and United States) that we are savages and we killed people. We are not like that back then. The whole false stories was put into the dime books and media newspapers just to make white people believe and be afraid of savages if they go West. We had suffered many tragedies with families and other tribes. It was a very ordeal for all of our past ancestors that suffered under the government and the Army.

I have never read Quran or the Jewish Torah. As for the Muslim, there are good and bad Muslim. The good Muslim knows the different from right and wrong and should be able to show the good examples to the Muslims how to follow the good deed and not show violence at all. As for the site near the ground zero, maybe some of the ADers are right that a mosque or Christian church or any other religion churches should not built near ground zero.

It is sad that we are label as defiant no matter what our believe is in the name of God or Allah including our own traditional religion which was against by the Catholic Churches. I am going end this thread here. :(

As usual, I agree with you completely, Bebonang.

I agree. I just think it's insensitive, not to mention bad timing, to try and build a mosque so close to Ground Zero.

Not to mention that buddhists are killing each other in Bangkok at this very moment.

I forgot about the Buddhist violence in Sri Lanka.

At least with atheism... it's not hard. One word:

Marx.

No, not Karl Marx, but the ones who speak of revolutions... Lenin and his lot; Mao too.

New Yorkers
"We have no tolerance for that in our city. Our city is open to anybody, no matter what your religion is," said Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

"We stand today, unified. Filled with hope and love and rejecting this kind of bigotry," said Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.

"This is also our expression of the 99.99 percent of Muslims all over the world -- including in America -- who have condemned and continue to condemn terrorism," said Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the Cordoba Initiative.

Mod note:

Unfortunately, this thread has became too argumentative as well as some posts contains religious view/discussions. Thus, I am closing this thread.

Thanks.
