Bristol Palin demands child support
Bristol Palin is demanding Levi Johnston start paying up.

According to court documents filed Thursday in Alaska and posted on the Web site TMZ, the 19 year-old daughter of Sarah Palin is demanding the father of her one year-old son pay $1,750 a month in child support payments.

Palin is also seeking back payments beginning from late December 2008, when the child was born.

According to the court filing, Palin says Johnston made "in excess of 105,000 in 2009 through various media interviews and modeling related activities."

Palin also says she has received only "sporadic financial assistance" from Johnston over the last year - $4,400 in total.

Johnston's manager contends Palin has been paid more than $10,000 by Johnston since her son was born, according to TMZ.

Bristol Palin's lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.

I would say - why? Sarah Palin's already raking in millions but I'm glad Bristol didn't rely on her mother for financial assistance. I'm glad that Bristol stepped up and demanded a child support because it's about adult responsibility. A father - Levi is responsible for this, not Sarah Palin or anybody else. He needs to step up the plate and starts being a responsible adult. and father.

Levi - PAY UP, @$$HOLE! :mad2:

Well it is most likely PR revenge for the way he has trashed the family. But he needs to pay.

I wish they all would just shut up and stop talking to the media.

$1,750 a month? That's too much. Where is guy gonna to earn?

Exactly. And for the next 18 years. Or for a grand total (not assuming any increase due to cost of living increase) of $378,000.

Levin should've thought of first the responsibility of what fatherhood entails when he went to bed with her. No father has the right to skip child support payment.

I just don't get it. Why are some suddenly in defense of this deadbeat Dad, Levi, for not paying up? He needs to own up to his fatherhood responsibility.

he has to pay up because that's what parents do everytime they get a raise. They spend more for their child. It would be selfish for him to have nice things and not his child.

The way I see it, ur not a man if you don't pay ur child support....my 3 boys didn't get a damn dime! (they're adopted). But just wait....soon as the "dad" gets out of prison, I'm gonna hit him for every bit of his SS, the $$ and the property his deceased father left him too! And if he gets a job....say hey Buddy, that paycheck is mine and the boys!

Well the law is he has to pay up. If not he can face jail time and or a suspended drivers license.

Depends on what defense he'll come up with this time. I'm not sure what their laws are like and if they are able to order someone to pay more based on an income mostly made up of one-time payments from interviews, photo shoots, etc.

I read that it's 20% of one's salary, but it didn't say income. So I'm not sure what will happen.

Besides, it's obvious they are both hungry for money. People these days.
