LOL I don't like spiders either ... about an hour ago I was downstairs putting away some tools off my work bench ... a tiny spider came down on a web right in front of my face I started throwing tools at it ended u squishing him with a cordless drill battery charger plug

Those smartphones have apps. There's even apps out there that make clapping sounds.

1) Download one of those clapping apps.

2) Have your cat play with the phone.
