He said "it might have given me pause to switch targets." He did NOT say we would have definitely changed targets. He was NOT sorry about killing the children at all.Heath said:...McVeigh told Lou Michel and Dan Herbeck, reporters for The Buffalo News, that he did not know there was a day care center inside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The authors will appear on Thursday's broadcast of "PrimeTime Thursday."
"I recognized beforehand that someone might be ... bringing their kid to work," McVeigh said, according to the ABC broadcast. "However, if I had known there was an entire day care center, it might have given me pause to switch targets. That's a large amount of collateral damage."

Civilian deaths in a combat zone or in the middle of a police v. criminal action are unintentional, and regretable.Reba, Here is what I have to say and I know it is the policy of the United States Government anytime civilian deaths happen to have the U.S. Gov't say that it was " collateral damage " which is no different than what McVeigh said " collateral damage ".
The "government" did not cause McVeigh to bomb the building. That is so much baloney. McVeigh made his own choice.McVeigh did bomb the government building but I ask you what made the government cause one of its own soldiers turn on the US Government.
