Oklahoma City National Memorial

I brought a book just like the one in the website at the gift shop in the Oklahoma City National Memorial, Cost me $35.00 but it's thicker. ;)

I never went to see Okla City National Memorial before, but I would love to see out there when I come visit SoonersSeth again some days

Sounds like their main tourist attraction is the memorial park. Must be sad for the tourists, eh? If there's fun tourists activities then I'll go and stop by to check out that memorial.

Heath said:
...McVeigh told Lou Michel and Dan Herbeck, reporters for The Buffalo News, that he did not know there was a day care center inside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The authors will appear on Thursday's broadcast of "PrimeTime Thursday."

"I recognized beforehand that someone might be ... bringing their kid to work," McVeigh said, according to the ABC broadcast. "However, if I had known there was an entire day care center, it might have given me pause to switch targets. That's a large amount of collateral damage."
He said "it might have given me pause to switch targets." He did NOT say we would have definitely changed targets. He was NOT sorry about killing the children at all.

Reba, Here is what I have to say and I know it is the policy of the United States Government anytime civilian deaths happen to have the U.S. Gov't say that it was " collateral damage " which is no different than what McVeigh said " collateral damage ".
Civilian deaths in a combat zone or in the middle of a police v. criminal action are unintentional, and regretable.

McVeigh's murder of civilians was intentional, committed during an illegal act, and he did NOT regret their deaths.

Two totally different scenarios.

McVeigh did bomb the government building but I ask you what made the government cause one of its own soldiers turn on the US Government.
The "government" did not cause McVeigh to bomb the building. That is so much baloney. McVeigh made his own choice.

No I haven't been there yet. I was working when it happened. It broke my heart! One day I will be sure to stop by.

Cheri, thanks for sharing the photos...it is sure still sad!

And what a great topic too!

:tears: seen on TV thatwas happened before my landing here, maybe visit there someday
