The OGO can hold up to 500 e-mail address in the address books, it can retreive mail directly from yahoo e-mail or some other web e-mail instead of logging on the web to retreive e-mail.

No, they're not. There are NO Sidekick 3 plans to be released in 2005. NONE. You are probably misinformed about the Motorola A630.

It IS NOT A SIDEKICK! It has no web browser.

actually I think sabrina's right SKIII will coming out in May 2005 and my friend told me they will have live videophone on SKIII as Japan already invented the videophone cell at http://www.alldeaf.com/showthread.php?t=12873

If that video cell phone came out in America, it would be really expensive. It would require a very good high-speed wireless connection. Of course, Japan can handle it... it's a small country so they're fine. We're a huge country, so it would be very costly to make everything wireless. Perhaps, it will be possible in 5 or 10 years. Right now, Sidekick II looks good enough. ;)

Christo, you have not shown a link to an actual news article, press release, or citation of someone who is directly linked to the "Sidekick 3 May 2005 release." Therefore, anything you hear from your friends is BUNK and full of BALONEY until you can back it up.

As for my reasons for not believing you nor anyone else who claims that Sidekick 3 for sure is coming out, I will tell you that I am involved in the communications business and part of my job has to do with wireless technology. T-Mobile JUST came out with the 2nd Sidekick -- it is selling quite well. It makes no sense to sell a #3 version so quickly while their 2nd version is raking in cashmola. So, no. I would love to be proven wrong and if you can find evidence of the truth, I will gladly apologize.

Whether SKIII is coming soon or not, they've already started using cellphones to play sports news playback movie clips. Just saw that commercial a few times in the past 2 weeks. The cellphones' ability to play video will be more common sooner than you think! I can imagine the live, ugly, jerky playback on those video cellphones.

Ogo is $18 for one IM and one e-mail account
VaP, I am actually membership of tmoble sk plan for 2 year and 3 months till now. OGO email is limit which had 1mb less [exactly like 3.5 diskette size mb] I think. I might be wrong. SKII has 6mb. SK had everythings in one device. SKII is full absoluted packages you looking for!

T-Mo service and coverage that I satisfied with. I rather STICK with SK for rest.

See, I can confirm THAT. Sprint made a deal with ESPN:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/sportsbusiness/news/story?id=1935907

Quote from the article:

"The venture will sell ESPN-branded handsets, accessories and applications, including access to sports headlines, photos, ring tones and streaming audio and video over Sprint's high-speed data network."

Now, to everyone else (Not Deaf258, of course) out there who believes that "The sidekick 3 is coming in May 2005", find a dang article that says that! You can't -- because it doesn't exist. A company wouldn't be stupid enough to NOT promote a product in advance of release, especially if they accept pre-orders.

I had an OGO for a day and wasn't sastified with it and returned it and cancelled the service. It was SLOW connecting to AIM and has problems with AIM and yahoo seems unstable sometimes. It has MAJOR lag receiving and sending IMs to users. I'm not impressed with the ogo, except it has nice interface with all 3 IM and good pricing, they need improvement on the connection speed like the T-mobile sidekick does. :)
I have a friend who has a exactly same problem... I told my mom to hold on ordering OGO for a week and after finding the result from you and others, I had to stop my mom from order OGO..

Thanks for verifying my post! ;) And, I agree with you about Sidekick III.. I looked and looked and can't find anything about the "supposed" pager. I don't believe everything I hear or read from other people unless it's from an official source like CNN or the manufacturer's homepage!

You know how rumors are easily spread out... especially when it comes to deaf communities. Just a day after this so-called "Sidekick 3" news was posted here, half the people on campus were like... "OMG! They're coming out with Sidekick 3!!!" When I asked them where they heard it from, all they could say was, "A friend of a friend...(blah blah blah)... told me."

That would be true today, but according to Verizon, they are in the process of updating the 3GPRS within two years. We should be able to download streaming videos to our Sidekick III(?) or whatever new PDA/Data communicator device we have in the next two years. Also, the reason why Japan have better wireless connection than us is because of their UMTS or w-CDMA technology, which is 50x better than our network today. Yes it is because of their country being small and all and they are easy to update since all you got to do is update the whole network from the top to bottom, left to right, or should I say right to left lol (In Japan, people read books from the right to left heh) as opposed to updating the whole 50 states, including Alaksa and Hawaii. Yikes!
