The graphic is round, btw. And has an arrow inside it, too. ;)

Let's not get discriminatory here. Remember, let's be supportive of their requests.

Perhaps if you follow your own advice, I wouldn't have asked you to describe the picture. I think you should move on. have a warm cup of milk. calm down. :)

purely for infographic purpose. Textual Description matters the most. and it was already provided in my post. Yours didn't.... which is why I had to remind you.

Now let's move on, shall we?

For the DB community here,

The graphic on the letter kokonut provided..

The graphic is circular, metallic and bronze.

There's latin inscriptions around the man facing left.

The man is looks like he is bald but he has thinning hair and it is parted to the side. He is facing the left. He has a strong jaw.

His nose is very narrow and his lip is pursed.

The emblem is a beautiful graphic.

Hope this helps, my DB family. :ily: <ILY>

That was certainly a disgusting way your coworkers behaved. It was totally wrong for them to ever suggest shooting the President, and totally wrong for them to attack you for speaking up.

I'm very sorry that you had to quit your job. You did the right thing to speak up, and it's a shame that you have to suffer for it.

You did the right thing of avoiding a fist fight. Did you try to file a grievance at your work place?

I hope your employment situation has improved since then.

Actually I had really enjoyed that job and hated giving it up. The constant aggression and being hammered by daily twisted right wing talking points exhausted my patience. It is one thing to dip in here and fire off a few shots in return but to have it start at 6:30 am and stop at 6:00 pm was too much.
People get hooked on it like a drug and just cannot stop. Me I am not hooked on it at all. I know about addiction inside and out and know for a fact that being there in the midst of it makes me fuel for the fire. Not my idea of a good way to make a living. And despite the contrived innocence the attack talk/shooting the President talk does come from the right wing. I am free of it now and it feels like 10,000 pounds of mean and stupid have been lifted off of me.

Well, Dalai Lama actively worked for peace on an international scale. He dealt personally with international leaders and the UN. The year prior to his selection for the Nobel, he developed and presented the Strasbourg Proposal. Apparently the Nobel committee found him worthy.

The examples you gave were what Obama did in Chicago (a city) and Illinois (a state).

And apparently, the Nobel Prize Committee found Obama worthy.

I'm sorry about your experience at work.

Not all conservative people talk/act like that. I have never heard even one of my conservative friends mention shooting the President, not once. At our church we pray for the President and our other government leaders every week. We wish no harm to any of them.

I'm not denying what you experienced. I'm just saying that it's not all conservatives.

I hope that you can get a job where you feel safe and comfortable.

He had met with Tony Blair, Nicolas Sarkozy, Nyan Win, and several more foreign dignitaries prior to his Presidency. He went to Africa as well.
What did he accomplish during those meetings?

Again injecting criteria into the nomination and award that the NPPC did not use.

It seems like over the last few decades or so the awarding of the NPP is seen more as a political tool than not in getting their way (of course, they're from Norway). This recent one just made them the ultimate laughing stock ever since the inception of the NPP. Even curious as to why NPP committee hide under a cloak of secrecy of their identities?

No, not curious at all. What does it matter? And, if one only thinks a bit, one can easily see why.

Just curious as to why hide their identities? Suppose somebody were to uncover their identities, it wouldn't hurt, right?

Achievement. Better stated as "accomplishment". The committee has already explained, quite concisely, what their considerations were.

Nomination was placed after Obama was president for 12 days. The nomination was based on prior work...or in this case prior "work."

We have to admit that being elected president is an achievement. Even though it's not the sole reason he was nominated, it is worth noting that he was indeed the first African-American president ever to be elected, and was also a symbol of hope and change for many people who cringed through the Bush administration.

Probably to prevent outside parties from influencing or pressuring them. Could be for security reasons also.
