Let's not get discriminatory here. Remember, let's be supportive of their requests.

The graphic is round, btw. And has an arrow inside it, too.![]()
<ILY>That was certainly a disgusting way your coworkers behaved. It was totally wrong for them to ever suggest shooting the President, and totally wrong for them to attack you for speaking up.
I'm very sorry that you had to quit your job. You did the right thing to speak up, and it's a shame that you have to suffer for it.
You did the right thing of avoiding a fist fight. Did you try to file a grievance at your work place?
I hope your employment situation has improved since then.
Well, Dalai Lama actively worked for peace on an international scale. He dealt personally with international leaders and the UN. The year prior to his selection for the Nobel, he developed and presented the Strasbourg Proposal. Apparently the Nobel committee found him worthy.
The examples you gave were what Obama did in Chicago (a city) and Illinois (a state).
I'm sorry about your experience at work.Actually I had really enjoyed that job and hated giving it up. The constant aggression and being hammered by daily twisted right wing talking points exhausted my patience. It is one thing to dip in here and fire off a few shots in return but to have it start at 6:30 am and stop at 6:00 pm was too much.
People get hooked on it like a drug and just cannot stop. Me I am not hooked on it at all. I know about addiction inside and out and know for a fact that being there in the midst of it makes me fuel for the fire. Not my idea of a good way to make a living. And despite the contrived innocence the attack talk/shooting the President talk does come from the right wing. I am free of it now and it feels like 10,000 pounds of mean and stupid have been lifted off of me.
What did he accomplish during those meetings? He had met with Tony Blair, Nicolas Sarkozy, Nyan Win, and several more foreign dignitaries prior to his Presidency. He went to Africa as well.
So, did Obama act on his speeches prior to the February cut off date?Guess what has to happen before acting happens?
Yes, I'm wondering, too. We have Senators who routinely go abroad and meet dignitaries and such. What did he accomplish during those meetings?
It seems like over the last few decades or so the awarding of the NPP is seen more as a political tool than not in getting their way (of course, they're from Norway). This recent one just made them the ultimate laughing stock ever since the inception of the NPP. Even curious as to why NPP committee hide under a cloak of secrecy of their identities?
Injecting what criteria?
Achievement. Better stated as "accomplishment". The committee has already explained, quite concisely, what their considerations were.
Nomination was placed after Obama was president for 12 days. The nomination was based on prior work...or in this case prior "work."
Probably to prevent outside parties from influencing or pressuring them. Could be for security reasons also.Just curious as to why hide their identities? Suppose somebody were to uncover their identities, it wouldn't hurt, right?
