Nurses Fired Over Cell Phone Photos Of Patient

Oh god!!

Good thing they were fired! They violated the code and the law.

The privacy act law. They invaded the confidentiality law.

The Patient can also file a lawsuit. They totally disregarded the persons privacy.
 
Don't they know you can only do things like that if a celebrity is involved?
 
that wrong!

im sure mostly hospitals in 50 states have policy not allowed have shown cell phone with camera dues respectives! but mostly nurse known rules not allowed shown patient during work hours peroid! that not allowed!!!!!!!! but my mom also nurse she know hospital policy not taking camera with cell phones.

some nurse can show on cell phone of family or friend that fine BUT!! at workers not allowed that totally digusting front of patient's friend nor family they can sues the hospital says how worth!
 
Pretty stupid...they deserve it for not following their job. *shrugs*
 
Yeah, Stupid thing to do. All they need to do is to call up ER Dr or Patient's Dr to come out and take a look at it rather than taking pix from cellphone. It's just Privacy issue.

UNLESS Patient take pix with their own cellphone themself then wait for DR. That's different cuz Nurse wasn't involve. :giggle:

That's correct and also there's a violation of Personal Health Information Privacy (known as PHI).

Not only that, It is a defamation of its character as well. The nurses should have obviously knew better than that.

And I wonder who the patient was....since this happened about 15 mins from the state school for the deaf in Delavan where I went to school and about 30 minutes from Milwaukee where I grew up...there were plenty of students at my school from Lake Geneva. :hmm:

FLUFFY!!! where is fluffy? has anyone seen fluffy?!?! i miss my gerbil so!

anyways, my mom is a nurse, she wont discuss anything to do with a patient or patients care whatsoever outside of the hospital let alone taking any kind of pictures. and something like those did is just plain wrong and in bad taste!
 
i told my mom about articles and i click story that nurse got fired but my mom says that wrong! its true but i would agree with LuciaDisturbed.
