New Law Bans Baggy Pants In Schools

I think the laws against it will do about as much good as the laws against immoral horrors did when I was a kid in school -- Things we think nothing of now -- Like young girls "wanting to run around in pants like whores" and "boys wanting to wear long hair and bangs like girls".

What it did was turn kids who only wanted to rebel against their parents "set standards" into hardened delinquents -- Some of whom landed in jail or worse.

Oh my God I remember the absolute horror of horrors -- People said they gagged and could not stand the sight of young girls in hot pants, parading their bodies around -- Sheer proof that the country could not last another 10 years unless it was stopped.

Boys in bell bottom trousers, pink and purple hair --

And when my mother was young a hundred years ago The PAGE BOY Haircut.

For once can't we just ignore, or better yet laugh at, something the children do that has no purpose other than to say, "This is my generation."

When are the adults going to grow up?

External control psychology. It simply does not work.

Sometimes I feel like just stepping on their pants cuff.....

You seem to get great joy out of attempting to humilate people. That is not the trait of a decent human being. Nor of a secure one.

Nor of a martial arts "expert." A real one would not even think that, let alone express it.

I really hate those baggy pants but then again it could be a sign that I am getting old. Making a law of banning them won't work. Maybe giving the kids a wedgie would work. Lol

Along with yours and Koko comment..... I would like to add maybe it would take someone to yank on their britches and let them drop to the floor since they want to show their ass.

I can't fathom people doing this to others.

I've always thought that Koko's self promotion on his blog sounded more like a fantasy of a super macho male than what he actually is.

I think that he should go to psychiatric hospital so really bad.

The panties are coming, the panties are coming!

One if by land, two if by sea

Laws are all blooming, teenagers consuming

All gleefully growing aglee

I despise baggy pants, even if the underwear aren't showing. It looks horrible. Sometimes I just want to run up to a 14 year old kid with baggy pants with underwear showing and pull them down and run away. Not that I would actually do it - I don't want to invite/incite a fight.

I like the bill banning baggy pants. It absolutely needs to be done. I am so sick of seeing boxers and underwear hanging out of their jeans. Especially when they have skid marks. It's disgusting.

When I have children I will absolutely NOT allow baggy pants in the house or outside the house at all. The pants has to FIT PROPERLY or it will not be permitted to be worn at all - inside or outside the house. If I find any baggy pants in my child's room or on the child, the jeans will be cut up to pieces and then littered around the bedroom and let my child see the ruined pants. I bet that from that point on my child will be sure to wear proper-fitting pants.

I think baggy pants are gang-related as well as prison-related. A long time ago I read somewhere that many children and adults wear baggy pants as a homage to adults in prison who aren't allowed to wear belts. And I see gang members running around with their asses hanging out of their jeans. It's disgusting. I will NOT have my future children running around looking like a gang member let alone be mistaken for one. I hate gang-related clothing. I'd rather that they wear skinny jeans, skateboarder jeans, regular fit jeans or flared legs jeans, as long as I don't see their underwear or their ass crack.

They don't need to make a law out of it. All the school have to do is enforce a dress code.

What a waste of taxpayers' time and money.
Not only that... the parents should have been doing something as well.

Thats Rick Scott for ya!! He cuts back on Education, Dept Childrens and Families and several other things to cut back on waste. And he comes up with something as stupid as this? Schools can enforce dress codes.

So....baggy pants are banned....what about the nitwits?

Food for thought:

I went to a private school and we had to wear uniforms. Once a month, we were allowed to wear normal clothes if we pay 1 dollar that goes to charity. Well, one of my teachers made a comment that she noticed that students misbehaved more often during the casual days. Ever since I heard her saying that, I paid more attention to the difference between the casual days and normal (uniform days). It was glaringly obvious that wearing whatever you want brought forth more of an attitude....

Odd how psychology works, eh?

Seems like you have misguided anger.

A local school here has solved the problem. Whenever a kid is wearing baggy pants, the teachers send the kid to the office. The principal has the kid pull up his pants and secure them with a garbage bag tie. The principal sends the kid back to class. Problem solved.
