... I thought we are talking about clothes code, not the deaf drama, aren't we?![]()
Deaf drama does influence on clothing too.

Oh? Hmm. Interesting. I don't see that in OSD. I just saw few adults and kids were argued over kids' improper clothings, through it is not so common.

It is not deaf drama...it is peer pressure. Very common among teenagers whether they are deaf or not.
I attended at hearing school and deaf school, drama over clothing at deaf school is worse than in hearing school, at least for K-12 in my experience.
I guess that's your experience but it could be due to the smaller size.
Maybe you didnt hear what was happening around you among your hearing kids and unaware of any picking going on about each other's wardobes. Remmy, hearing culture isnt blunt like Deaf culture. Teenagers usually get judged by their peers by how they dress and look.
Like there are movies about nerdy teenagers changing their wardobe to fit in with the cool crowd. For example, "The Princess Diaries" for one.
Or maybe the deaf kids hate the baggy pants and think it looks stupid.![]()

Oh yes I remember that.Stephen King wrote about this in his book on writing. In his school a girl was always dressed very poorly. The other kids teased her unmercifully. One summer she was able to buy some really nice clothes. When she returned to school it was obvious she expected that now she was dressed appropriately she would be treated with some respect.
However they treated her even worse. If I remember correctly she committed suicide over it.
His words..
"We were not going to let her out of the box we had put her in."
Stephen King knows where the real monsters are.
They are us.
Boy, that must've been embarrassing to find out what it meant later on.
Yeah....but kids can be really cruel....my own guess is that some of them didn't even know the meaning either...haha...
Deaf, hearing, or hh kids who did that "garment" thing?
Actually, the baggy pants started out in prison. When you wear it low, it means that you're someone's prison bitch and they are to be left alone. Unless you want a severe beating from the guy's 'lover".
A simple Google search will confirm that.....
