Remember Jessica Lunsford, the 9 year old victim of one of the 3 girls who were killed this year? Well, they found new info about her.... :(

Florida prosecutors reveal information on Jessica Lunsford

TAMPA, Fla. - A 9-year-old girl was raped, bound and buried alive, kneeling and clutching a purple stuffed dolphin, state prosecutors said in documents released Wednesday.

Jessica Lunsford’s body was found March 19 buried about 150 yards from her house in Homosassa, about 60 miles north of Tampa.

According to the documents, Jessica was found wearing shorts and a shirt — different from the pink nightgown her family said she was wearing when they reported her missing on Feb. 24, The Tampa Tribune said in its online edition late Wednesday.

The body was wrapped in two plastic trash bags knotted at her head and feet in a grave covered by a mound of leaves, the state attorney’s office said in the documents.

Jessica died of asphyxiation, according to a coroner’s report. A convicted sex offender, John Evander Couey, 46, is charged in her slaying.

Officials said they believe Jessica may have been alive in Couey’s home while police and volunteers searched for her. After she was killed, Couey fled to Georgia.

A message left for Couey’s attorney was not immediately returned Wednesday evening.

Yes, they have suspect and have charged him. His name is John Evander Couey

I cannot believe she was raped. :( That breaks my heart that jerks like this guy have a nerve to rape this young girl, Make me sick to my stomach too.


I hope they slap him hard with a life or death penalty, He deserved his worst nightmare. :smash:

I agree...I can't stand hearing about stories like this one. God. How can people subject another to this kind of torture? Definitely something I would never wish on another. :(

It is so sad. Jessica is at peace now - but I can't imagine how her parents will ever be. If any such thing ever happened to any child of mine, I don't think I would be able to handle it.

This story gives me nightmares. It is awful.
 
Yeah...its really awful to hear about it and now I realized that we lost another teenage girl too...by her mother's ex boyfriend. I thought it makes me sick!
 
Oh dear, it´s awful... It make me mad that sex-monster rape 9 YEARS old!!!

That guy deserve to suffer in volience prison rest of his life...
 
It's horrifying when that happens to a child the way Jessica went. It's extremely upsetting and I wish I could somehow prevent people from abducting and harming children.

Remember Polly Klaas...her father has been fighting to help prevent such abductions to happen. The Polly Klaas Foundation and got 'The Amber Alert' set up nationwide (almost!).

Yes, FINALLLY!! The miserable S.O.B. is going to be put to
death that he richley deserves! At first, he claimed he might
be "mentally retarded"...yeah, right! my foot!! that was his
lame excuse! It was found that he was NOT!
I was thrilled to hear that he was not mentally retarded or
even ill, cuz he didnt even "look" that way, geez.
I hope he rots in hell for what he has done to that poor girl,
for raping and burying her alive...that is the most horrendous
crime i have ever heard committed against a child! :pissed:
 
Death is too good for someone like him. Should stick him in lockup for life. He'd become someone's bitch. We all know how much those big burly men in lock up feel about child molestors.
