To all my friends at alldeaf:

I apologize for disconnecting my myspace site and its blog. I am preparing for employment and needed to disconnect it, even though there is nothing there that would make me look bad. I hope all of you understand.
 
Smart move , most employers who are internet savy do look up potential employees myspace pages and/or blogs.
 
Thanks for understanding! I just went there to see if I could bring it up and it wasn't there. So, that's a relief!
 
That's understandable.

It does suck though... the fact that employers look up our history with these blogs. :(
 
True; I have taken down any inkling to my last name everywhere, but if employers knew my moniker (pek1), they'd probably look that up. I'm not worried . . . for now . . . because I have nothing to hide or be ashamed of, except for popping my chops occasionally here on some subject. Fortunately, I don't get the tongue lashing like Heath did before he was banned (several times, might I add). Still, we're all entitled to our opinions, but when it comes to personal information, we need to be careful.

off topic (sorry)...that is one BIG dog you got there! Beautiful dog, but still BIG!!!! :)

You're not off topic . . . the dog is Snickers, my hearing dog. She's an eight-year old Akita/German Shepherd and currently weighs just under 95 lbs. She walks on my right side instead of the left, unlike other dogs.

Aww, that's very understandable! You certainly made the right choice. There's no mistake in your decision when it comes to end your myspace. You did the right thing. :)

I agree that it is a wise to protect your own name. :hug:
