Arkansas Family Celebrates 15th Child

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Michelle Duggar is all smiles after delivering her 15th child, but she may be ready for more, her family says.

Mother and child were doing well, although Michelle, 37, was feeling some discomfort because the birth was her second by Caesarean section, said her mother-in-law, Mary Duggar.

``She's a trouper. She's just all smiles,'' Mary Duggar said.

Jackson Levi Duggar was born at 10:52 a.m. Sunday, weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 20 inches.

``She was wanting to do it naturally,'' Mary Duggar said. But the delivery was by C-section because one of Jackson's shoulders was presenting first.

i think this mom is  to have 15 kids and wants more!

That's Ok as Long she Provides them Caring and Loving.. She seems to Love Children, It's Her Life Whatever Makes her Happy then Go for it. :P

GEEZ! not for me!! i will have 1 or 2 kids thats all... wow... if a mother is happy to have more kids then do it... what god make for!!!! :)

I just hope that mother is providing for all her kids on her own, not taking welfare... if she's on welfare, then that is totally unfair to everyone of us... we are basically paying for her!

She's truly blessed to have that many children! I grew up wanting as many children as my womb can bear. I have five children (2 biological daughters, two step daughters and a step son), so I am happy about it. If I was married to the right man (my current husband), we would have had many more children because he also wanted many. Not for welfare purpose, but just because we absolutely LOVE children so much!

*seconds that*

That poor woman! I dont mean to be gorss or anything but dont ya think she'd be a little (little?!) loose after 15 kids? =/ I wonder if they have the same daddy too. *says nothing* 2-3 is enough for me, if that. :)

*Thuds*

Egads, I can't see myself having that MANY children running around the house, umm...although, the chores would get done quicker and things around the house might get done too, but heck, allllll those dishes, food and not only that...beds...and oh yes, I'm sure they probably have a couple of washers and dryers to do all that laundry...unless they live nearby a fresh water stream, :naughty: and I wonder if they own a 'bus' to transport all of these children to places??? Even just taking a trip to the grocery store might be considered a 'field trip'... :laugh2:

Anyhow, if this woman truly wants more, I do not have anything against that as long as she is able to provide for all those kids while being supportive and caring for each one of them out of LOVE....

Like for myself, I did like the idea of having up to 6 or 7 children...right now, as it stands, between my sweet honey, ^Angel^ and myself, we do have six children.... :)

15 children!!?!? who does she think she is? SUPER WOMAN AS THE SECRET MOM??

honestly, it isn't the 19th/20th century anymore...back in the old days, my mom is part of the six children in her family but right now most families have two or three kids...just to save money for more food, more clothing and safe shelter, etc...more than 5 kids would be stressful and would need more than two jobs to handle the job as a parent...

to be honest, I was quite thrilled when I hear that this woman has the 15th child...I never hear anymore families that has more than 15th kids...certainly there are some that have 10 or 12 children but 15!?!? that's an insane number if you ask me...besides, doesn't she even get tired of giving birth abit too much? her virgina must be sore already... *shudders*

 Whoa! That's way too many kids! Let's hope she doesn't go "Yates" on her kids!

Yeah i read that the other day and i was thinking what is wrong with them?
lol!...i hope the father is wealthy enough to be able to provide for all them kiddies!! When the kids turn 16, will he buy each one of them teenagers a car? sheeesh! Good luck to the parents cuz they gonna need it bad and oh yes lots and lots of patience!!!

My Parent never brought me a car when I was 16. I brought my Own Car. Money isn't everything as long they have a roof over their Head, Foods, love and Caring is all that Needed To have Children.:)

I thought 12 kids was way too much in the Steve Martin movie "Cheaper by the Dozen..."

15 kids?!? Golly gosh! I already have three, I would be more than happy to have one more and then I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I descend from a family with numerous children, even though my family are not members of the LDS Church. My aunt has 14 children, another aunt had 10 children, etc... etc... To me, it is nothing wrong with it. But yeah the times have changed since early 1900s. (My grandmother was born in 1898 as the 9th child). It's interesting to see how one generation can span a good 50 years.

15 children???

You know that children upbringing is work hard... I can't image either I can cope with 15 children like this... Oh no....

I think 2 to 3 is enough because the children need love & attention.. How could I cope to give love & attention to 15 children?

I admire her to cope with her 15 children like this well... It's okay if she really want to have more children, it's her body.... NOT with me....

Yes, It's logical that there're alot of children during old times (1900) because they don't have everything like this (computer, gameboy, etc etc etc) at our time.... I'm wondering how could she fill their children's wish (birthday, xmas, easter, etc)?

It's logical if their parents are millionarie....

Excuse me for my dumb answer... It's just my imagable....

Thats true, Cheri but still ..they have to be fed and clothed that costs a lot of money for that many kids..I had a car when i was 17 but it was an old used car but didnt care as long it runs! heh.

:laugh2: :laugh2: , You sure made me laugh here honey! I thought the same thing about if they own a ' bus ' to transport all these children to places and looking like a ' field trip ' when they are at a resturant or store etc....

Holy smokey, 15 children is ALOT, I honestly don't know if I could do that myself....

So, you're saying you want one more child?....*smiling sweet here*

I will tell you one thing.....that poor woman will have flabby abdomen after having so many kids and umm her vagina will be stretched clear out to there!
:eek2:

*pulled my hair out* guarentee!
15th of children (shudders) I'd rather enough for my kids around here.. doesn't want another extra arms and hands more.. *chuckles*

I totally agree with you! I saw this, and immediately wanted to know what drugs has this woman been smokin'? And, I don't mean the ones given to her during labor, either! LOL
