She will turn 4 this Sat. and she is so adorable. I couldn't believe her parents left their children alone while they ate dinner, not matter how near/far is, she is abducted (my thought, she possible may be walking to look for her mom n dad when she woke up there's only little twins bro&sister where's her mom n/or dad, it sure scared her). Well, I am praying she is alive out there, hope that their daughter will be safely returned to them.
 
I went to my friend's 40th birthday party today, I received SMS from British friend asking me to pray for Madelaine, I thought who is she? it can't be her daughter? So I was sad to find out more from this link, oh no thats awful sad.

Yeah i know it is awful and my thought was same as yours about this little girl must have been look for her parents when she woke up and find her parents not there and went out to look for them.. but who knows and i does pray hope they will find her and still alive .. very sad...
 
I dont get it. Why cant they wait til the kids wake up and then go for dinner. Instead they are selfish to get something to eat without kids. I wouldnt leave a sleeping kid in the room while I go somewhere.

My name is Teresa Harding, I'm Portuguese (from the Algarve) but living in the Uk for the past 12 years.
Like everyone else I'm totally in shock with the painful news of Madeleine McCann disappearance, specially because the way it happen and where it happened, in this once known as a safe place.
I hope Madeleine is found safe and returns quickly to her loving family. Messages of Support

I was right feeling. There's no those places you used thought it's safe place anymore.

My thoughts and prayers are with Madeleine and her family/friends. My heart breaks every time I think or see or read about this :tears:
 
I've been following this story too and it's absolutely heartbreaking. Every day, I check the news to see if she has been found. I have a daughter about the same age, so it hits you on a personal level.

I feel so angry that there are so many wicked people in the world, who harm innocent children :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:
 
I still think it's disgusting they left them on their own, with the window open. Hopefully she will be returned safely.

:eek3: Window open???? Oh no....... Is the hotel room where she is staying is on the ground floor or on top of the hotel 2 or 3 storey up??

Umm, being Mother, I won't left my toddler/s on their own while I am on holiday outing for a meal, if my daughter is tired or sleep, I would order meal to be deliver to my hotel, and or, one of us will go out for a meal leaving your partner to babysit for your child in each turn.

Imagine the horror for this little girl to wake up and realised she is alone and crying, perhaps her scream inviting strangers to see why she is crying for at unfamiliar place and, she is crying for her absent parents........... Thats sad.
 
Yes I heard from German news. Very sad and goose bump... I know it must be scary for the parents. :(

I hope a girl is safety and healthy.

McCann probe 'interest' in Briton

A private investigation into Madeleine McCann's disappearance has identified a British paedophile as a "person of interest", a family spokesman has said.

Clarence Mitchell said he understood Raymond Hewlett lived about an hour from Praia de Luz, Portugal, where the three-year-old disappeared in May 2007.

Reports say the 64-year-old is being treated for throat cancer in Germany.

Mr Mitchell stressed he was just one of a number of lines of inquiry for the McCanns, from Rothley, Leicestershire.

Madeleine vanished from an Algarve holiday flat on 3 May 2007.

The Portuguese police have said they are no longer actively investigating the case but the McCanns are conducting a private investigation.

Mr Mitchell said he understood Raymond Hewlett was living near the Spanish border at the time that Madeleine went missing.

"Hewlett is an individual of interest to the McCann investigation," he said.

"And as I say, without going into any detail, some newspapers are claiming that comments were made that led to potential interest in connection with the Madeleine case and, as a result, that is why the investigators are now looking at him.

"But I do stress this is one line of inquiry."

Ahead of the last anniversary of her disappearance, the family released an age-progression image of how Madeleine may look now at nearly six years old.

I really feel bad for the parents and hope for her safety.
 
Sadly though if she has been missing for this long - the outcome may be that she's not even alive at all and will never be found. There's usually a small 12-48 hour window in which if the child is going be found alive, its going to be within that short time period.

Although in some very rare cases, missing children have been found living under new identities years later. One example is Shawn Devlin who was found 7 years after he disappeared living in the apartment of a pedophile, and was completely on accident - another boy had been kidnapped and they found the vehicle at this apartment where they found both boys. But those are extreme cases, and in those cases, those kids suffered tremendous abuse and torture during their time there and will often live with psychological effects of not only being kidnapped, but also the torture and abuse, and it can't be a pretty outlook on life.
 
it's her neglectful parents fault. I mean it is not their fault she got kidnapped or abducted but you dont leave a 3 and a 2 year old ALONE, it purely common sense!!! I hope they get done for neglect and their kids taken off


I hope maddie gets found and put with people who WILL care for her
