After Vamprox posted a thread on Wal-Mart's new logo, since some people were interested in the logos and how they differed over the years. I thought to myself, why don't I create a thread and discuss logos? So here it is.
The things about a logo is that it should be familiar and easily identified by the public. The correct way to change a logo is to make a small change at a time. It is a gradual process and takes much more time than one could possibly imagine.
The most common mistake a company makes is completely revamping the logo with no resemblance to the original. When a new logo is shown to a consumer, they should be able to recognize which company it is. Most of the times, people may not notice the subtle changes, but they do appear refreshing to them because it is different even if they don't know it.
There are so much we can discuss here.
