Living the Deaf Life

Shall i tell my first introduce of meeting deaf!.

here it is.. hope my speech can come very understanding for all of you!


I remember in Sept 1984 as i attend to Hawthorn school for Hearing Impaired as i never met a deaf in my whole life as i was oral and severe deaf. i got in the school bus and saw aload of kids signing all over the place and said wat the hell it that as i was only 6 year old and one of the deaf boy name Alexander as he was 2 year older than me and he start doin all those signing thing as i said ermm i am sorry i dont know wat it that and alexander lipread to me sayin cant u sign and u can only talk as i was amaze i can lipread as i can hear his voice was very strange and not a normal voice at all and starting freakin me out. and he keep lipreadin to me but when i lipread back he doesnt appear to understand but alway sat next to me and told all the deafies in sign language sayin say hi to me as everyone come sayin hi and signin to me as i told alexander wat did he say as he lipread i forgot ur name i said oh i am waheed but he think i said william nevermind, then i attend to school and fear maybe my teacher cant talk too and puzzle why my mom and dad send me to damn wrong school!. Met the teacher and she was lovely and talk and sign to the children at the same time make me understand and start pickin up sign language and now i can communicated very well, and started to sign and alway happy and told my parent this is Alexander he is my first friend and he make me feel comfortable as my parent was so pleased but one year later my dad told me a bad news, sayin we all have to immigrant to new jersey coz my dad got a new managering director job there as i was so disappointed and say goodbye to all my good friend and my close pal a big hugs and said i will see u again, i move to new jersey and dad found me one school called mountain lake or lake drive i dunno which school it that as i cannot remember and i met one deaf friend there name Juan i cannot remember the spelling as he was doin american sign language or could be esl or see, and settle there for one year and mainly oral in that school which i can speak.. abt 2 year later my dad said he brough 4 firm in england and said u are goin back to uk, as i wasnt happy at all coz i am started to settle in new jersey and now i have to learn how to settle in england again, so i say goodbye to all the friend which it is very bad as i forgotten all the name now, and move back to england and dad send me to the same school and try to find alexander but couldnt find him and then my school teacher said he immigrant for good in New York as Alexander is the only one true friend i ever met also my first friend, i truly miss him and now day i still cannot find him tryin to look at classmate.com and everywhere by google.com, if any of u know who Alexander pls do tell me must be profoundly deaf and he is half indian and half spanish! .

That how i learn abt deaf cultures and started to used BSL alot due to become profound deaf at age 13 and alway proud of been in deaf cultures, i could alway imagine if Alexander never introduce me or talk to me i wouldnt like this school and like those people!
 
Long post, well I am taking a Deaf Culture class, If any one can help me out here or advice...would be appreciated.......

i just like their story.. i agree their opinio 100% same as my feeling but sometime it is not what who i am. I really want to be hearing because so i can 1 stand night with girl who like hearing.. all are female so PRETTY!!! and HOT.. look at people.. i feel jealous i want that one of them hearing guy. Oh well but the other way is that can get a female no matter. ;)

yeah I know what you mean. it s difficult talking with a hearing person sometimes....
 
Deaf some of not hot and pretty too. Almost Deaf are closed mind and some of like 10%. it is for SEX 1 stand night. SO, now u see at hearing people who are open mind example look at porn XXX which is different? that is why. ya know what i am talk. i dont have to tell u shit story. i am lazy.
 
DrStar80, go get a cochlear implant and you d become like you r hearing. Unless if you re speaking pretty well. You could still get them for one night stand.

What a pimp. :D
 
all I can say is I agree but sometimes when you feel annoyed by the hearing people when they "spoof" deaf people. Just ignore them.

ah i see i was gonna ask what happened but def asked and the ans is here now cool neat ! sorry abt the trust though jeez but thatz cool since ur HOH u still are cool with us people i know some people who are HOH they stick with the hearing world ! jeez but anyone can make their own choices and decisions !!
