Wonderful news! That's great to know that your father's surgery had went on well. Hope he will have a speedy recovery.
 
Oh, that's just great news! To know that (although, it's what I BELIEVED--;) ) he's doing great, yet not completely out of the woods, although, being under constant watch where he is and from above as well!

That's really neat what you did, shared this thread with him and the reaction he had, I'm sure that had to be quite uplifting for him!! :)

You're a great person and the kindness you bestowed and show to many members here in AD is what helps make AD unique and special!! ;) :hug:

Please keep us AD'ers updated--

I read to dad all of your beautiful get well wishes, and his eyes filled up. He signed to me "these people don't even know me, and they say just wonderful get well wishes". He wants to thank all of you for being so nice and thinking of him, and for making him very happy. I signed back to dad, these people on alldeaf, are the best!!!!

I'm soo glad to hear your dad is doing well, and getting better too, I bet he can't wait to go home in his warm comfortable bed better than the bed they have at the hospital...

Tell him he is very much welcome, and hope he's has gets better soon that way you can start cooking his fave food.... :ily: ...


If I live near by, I would have drop off my famous cheesecake, I know he would love that....

:hug: :hug: :hug: Hello to my special AD family!!!! I cannot thank you all enough for all your prayers, beautiful thoughts and words. I did see my dad yesterday (Saturday 2/11), they had him sitting up in a chair, and having his lunch. It's so good to see he didn't lose his appetite!! He is still in ICU, but, is off a lot of the machines that he was on in the beginning. What's really great is to see the rosy cheeks are coming back. He was looking so shallow and brownish, and now the pink is coming back to his face.

He was truly touched by all of your postings, and felt so good that people like you all had so many prayers to offer him and nice words, as he puts it. All of the postings put such a big smile on his face.

Thank you all so very much for being so nice, thoughtful and the wonderful people that you all are. I am hugging you all so tight, I will never, never forget what you all have done for me. You all are truly amazing!!

Hello Everyone!!!!! My dad sends big :hug: :hug: :hug: to all of you for thinking of him during and after his surgery. When I saw him today, he really looked so good. He is eating much better. With the help of a physical therapist, he walked a little bit down the hallway.

But, the best news yet!!! You all ready? He may be coming home tomorrow!!! :applause: :applause: I am waiting for a call from the doctor to see if this will happen, if not Tuesday, then definitely on Wednesday he will be home. He is excited, so I can tell he is getting better. Once he is home, I will be taking care of him, as he lives right downstairs, so it will make things easier for my dad.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to all of you wonderful friends who have posted about my dad, this made him so happy. You all mean so much to me, and I will never, ever forget the love and support you have shown to my dad and me, during this time. Roadrunner, thank you so much for being so thoughtful as to start this thread for my dad!! YOu know, these postings meant so much to him, that he actually feels he is famous now. I hope it won't go to his head, :lol: , again thank you all so very much!!!! God Bless you all!!! You all mean so much to me!!! :hug: :hug: :hug:
