greetings and salutations from the sordid south!

I recently stumbled (well, not really, I knew about it all along) onto sign language as a new medium for communicating poetry. This new outlet fascinates me and is obvious from my bloodshot eyes from sitting up many nights reading about it. I hope to learn much from the coterie of individuals here, not only about ASL itself, but about the deeply complex culture surrounding it.
