What type of laundry detergent do you use for washing clothes?

Long time ago I use to use powder but I got fed up with it cos it was showing powder streaks on dark clothes. Then I use the tablets which you put into a little bag and put it in the washing machine. That was ok but a bit costly. Now I use liquid all the time. Also I use liquid fabric softener as well to soften the clothes and others.

Just curious what do you use for doing the laundry?

I hate the powdered kind cuz it show white all over the clothes so I stick with the liquid since then. I use Tide HE (high energy efficiently, I think since we have front loader washer, that's why we used HE). That's only brand that my husband is not allergic to! Also Arm and Hammer is OK also. but mostly we use Tide.

I use Method. method : home They also have fabric softener, bar and liquid soap and other products. I found them at Target and buy them because none of the products are tested on animals, which is a big deal to me. It's also environmentally friendly. My clothes smell and feel better than the junk made by P & G, among others.

I've been using liquid laundry detergent for a long time now. Back in middle or high school I used the powdered one because it appeared to be cheap. Anyway, I got tired of getting my clean clothes with powder still stuck on it. So it was the time for me to make a change. Now as I am getting older, I am getting picky on what kind of laundry detergent I should use on my clothes, because I buy my clothes on my own and I hate to waste it away due to some kind of laundry accident or something.

Thanks! I will try that when I am out of the laundry soap. I'll try that. Finger cross that my hubby is not allergic also. The price isn't bad!

I had the pleasure using several Method products - I loved them. I should go by Target to buy some sometime this week.

Yes I begin to fed up with wash powder for white soap powder on dark clothes... *sigh* It's time for me to consider liquid soap after read those thread here.

You experienced the comparison between powder and liquid soap... Which is cleaner? My friends told me that powder is cleaner than liquid soap?

Really? I am not sure....I have front loader and it cleans our clothes fine. :dunno: about between liquid and powdered.

So we stick with liquid since then. I remembered we had tabs but they stopped making them. Oh well!

Drive Powder.
2nd choice is Radiant Powder and/or liquid - Just follow the $$$ first.

I think powder is more cleaner than liquid but only problem is that it make powder streak on dark coloured clothes. Liquid are more friendly on clothes cos they dissolves easier than powder.

I use powder all the time, and I've never had that problem. Maybe it's the kind of water that isn't dissolving the powder?

That's what my hubby suspect the same.

We never have the problem with powder on the same wash machine for 15 years until last summer... My hubby beleive that it's something wrong with the wash machine's pipe... It could be that powder are being block in wash maschine pipe??? We need to check and clean the wash machine pipe this weekends.

we used the powder laundry soap for many years. we didnt have any plms with it? but now we are trying to use the liquid laundry soap. it work good. We used Purex kind. I cant use Tide as I am allergic to it.

I experienced both powder and liquid, and I decide to choose liquid cuz of the fresh scent...

Plus when I used powder in the previous past, it redeposit on my clothes leaving some white stain from the powder, didn't really rinses away throughly.

I noticed the differences between powder and liquid, with liquid my clothes smell much more fresher than powder...
