Last Movie You Watched?

My deaf club is going to be showing The Karate Kid 2010 this month. I will get to see it on the 23rd.

I watched "The Cove" the other night. It's a documentary about mass dolphin killings that go on in a small coastal town in Japan. Pretty great investigative documentary. I thought it was a bit heavy on dramatics and felt kind of commercialized, but it still got out the message.

It's very strong.
Plus, I support them, even I brought t-shirt from them. I'm proud to be part of them.

Getting ready to see Old Dogs with John Travolta and Robin Williams. Son says it is hilarious.

Sleepers
After a prank goes disastrously wrong, a group of boys are sent to a detention center where they are brutalized; over 10 years later, they get their chance for revenge.

I love this movie more and more with each viewing.

Holy Rollers
In Brooklyn, a youth from an Orthodox Jewish community is lured into becoming an Ecstasy dealer by his pal who has ties to an Israel drug cartel.

This is one of those movies you want to able to enjoy but it ends up being kinda dull. Sure it has its moments but I wouldn't recommend it. There is a whole lot of Hebrew and Yiddish vocab/slang throughout the movie and w/o subtitles.

The Trotsky
Leon Bronstein is not your average Montreal West high school student. For one thing, none of his peers can claim to be the reincarnation of early 20th century Soviet iconoclast and Red Army hero, Leon Trotsky. When his father sends Leon to public school as punishment for starting a hunger strike at Papa's clothing factory, Leon quickly lends new meaning to the term 'student union', determined as he is to live out his pre-ordained destiny to the fullest and change the world.

Fresh teen/coming-to-age comedy that is surprisingly very political driven. No pie fucking in this one but it will definitely appeal to viewers who fancy and appreciate a intellectually smart comedy.

White Oleander
A teenager journeys through a series of foster homes after her mother goes to prison for committing a crime of passion.

Wonderful film. The cast is phenomenal. Alison Lohman and Michelle Pfeiffer were born for these roles.

Other movies:
Machete
Devil's Playground
Lost Boys 3: Thirst

Rent "Spliced" with Adrien Brody and "The Karate Kid" remake movie with Jackie Chan. We'll be watching tmw night.
I saw both a few days ago.

The Karate Kid was good.

Splice wasn't what I expected. It was one of those movies where the previews looked better than the movie. :(

I watched this old Japanese movie the other night, "Onibaba." It was black and white and really weird. That's about all I can say.

Machete! Awesome movie. I will watch it on the big screen, too. Why don't they make movies like this anymore? :(

Watched "Toy Story 3" last night, it was excellent, and a little sad, though.

Iron Man
Bulletproof
Space Balls
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist

These movies are good and funny.
