oooh boy..dont mean to be blunt but parents controlling their adult kids' lives like that is not good at all cuz I have seen what happened to my friends who had parents who wouldnt allow them to explore much when they were into early adulthood. That is all I have to say and good luck when u are really on your own.

that's when "Catholic Girls Gone Wild" at college :naughty:

I have seen worse things that have happened to my friends who were so sheltered and when they went on their own. Much worse and it is probably best that I dont elaborate here.

Wild has nothing to do with it...nothing. Just making very very bad decisions in their lives because they didnt know how the real world really worked and now their lives are very miserable. It is more about big regrets and now they are in their late 30s and hating their lives.

damn it, alldeaf servers needs cooling

That happened to me when I was 19 and had life-long plans to travel/work in USA but my parents stopped me from going so that's probably why I rebelled and ended up marrying the wrong guy. :(

I aint alocholic! Thks Goodness!

That is not what he said..

See, u have lots to learn. He was joking...

Like I joked with my friends how this summer is making me an alcoholic cuz I went out a lot with my friends more than usual and drank more than usual. That doesnt mean I am an alcoholic...

Cant take everything literally. Life is too hard to do that..gotta have to laugh at some things.

remember, that I promise to quit drinking when I am 21, but what the hell, I still drink beer!

My point exactly...parents need to let their kids explore and make some mistakes and learn from them. If parents continue to shelter their kids, especially those who are deaf, it will do more harm than good. I wasnt sheltered at all..my mom let us have some freedom in our teens and gave us some power to make some decisions for ourselves so we could grow and learn. I thank my mom for that because I was prepared when I went off on my own. Yes, I made mistakes like marrying too young and all that but I didnt live in fear of making my mistakes. My friends do and they still worry about what their parents think even though they are almost 40 years old.
