as you know that USSR spilt into many different new country names and they now have their own independance country names..

I found myself a Dead Meat.. when i dunno what country Byelorussia is and where it is.. when i found out its in country where USSR used to be. but still didn't know excatly where. I'm dumbfounded to know about this and embaarrassed.
Is it time for us to go back to High school Geography class to learn the new maps? new countries? where the USSR used to exits..

Discuss!

New countries? Interesting...

Well, times go by and we need to learn to move on. We can't expect to go back to school to learn it all over again. When I was in elementary school, they taught us that there were 4 food groups. Now, they're telling us that there are 5?

no way. I already graudated last summer and I'm not going to waste my time getting the second dipolma!

Actually, some colleges offer courses, even some noncredit ones, to learn about the new countries.

Yep. I'll take them in college, where I am right now, if I have to

that's crazy talk

New countries since I graduated from HS:
Belorussia, Estonia, Lativa, Lithuania, Kazhikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Tazikistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, F.R.O.Y.M (Macedonia), Croatia, Slovenia, Czech and Slovak Republics, Germany (no more West and East Germanys)

That is all I can remember right now. I was very good in geography in high school, and it was surprising that not many of my classmates did well in geography. One of my classmates did not know where Mexico was.

There was a student in my class like that. He couldn't figure out which was North Dakota & South Dakota, North Carolina & South Carolina, North America & South America... even if we pointed out the groups. "These two are 'Dakota', which is 'North'?" He couldn't figure that out.

Wait... I just found out that I'm wrong! There are now 6 food groups...
  • Fats, Oils, & Sweets
  • Milk, Yogurt, & Eggs
  • Meat, Poultry, Fish, Dry Beans, Eggs, & Nuts
  • Vegatables
  • Fruit
  • Bread, Cereal, Rice, & Pasta
Whatever happened to...
  • Bread
  • Meat
  • Dairy
  • Fruit & Vegetables
*sighs* I miss the old days!

Yeah...About these 6 food groups,
what's worse about nowdays ???

There are too many new brand names
even for only one food product alone which I had to
spent more time trying to make a decision
about which orange juice do I want to buy ?

Do you want this brand Minute Maid or Florida's Natural
with high pulps, med pulps or low pulps, no pulps,
orange juice alone, or orange mixed with pineapple,
or with banana or ruby grapefruit ? I have to admit
that I still could not figure which is better high pulbs
and/or low pulbs etc. Scratching my head there...

Having too many choices does take some extra time
especially with these many brand names
made me stay at these groceries
much longer than before.
