In God we trust...

The bible doesn't teach seperation of Chuch and State. The OT clearly states that Theocracy was God's intention, Saul was chosen cause the people had turned from God's way. The bible also states that all authority is given by God, even Pharaoh's.

I won't deny that politics are twisted, allways trying to win a vote, bending to which way the wind blows. That isn't always in religious favour.

Point is, a phrase is just a phrase. I'm a little confused on how you would loose freedom. Life has boundries that are imposed on us. Usually in our benefit (or that's how it is supposed to be.) If they wish to remove a phrase from a coin (or bill) then I will submit to the governments authority, like the Bible teaches, until they directly contradicts what the Bible teaches, at which point, I will stand for what God says.
 
Removing "In God We Trust" isn't gonna bother me. I don't care if it's there. I don't even notice it.

The leaders at the White House worships the ground of "Gia". Gia is their Goddess of this earth by makin' people to respect this earth's resources. For example : Al Gore believes in Gia, the Mother of this Earth...no wonder he spoke about environmental things. He is an evironmentist. Maybe, one day the coins will turn out to say "In Gia we trust"...

Wrong, that quote was not in currency for 200 years! It was added during JFK's presidency @1963, so I would say about 40 years on the currency. (That's according to Official 1990 Blackbook Price guide of US Paper Money)

Do you know why it was added? if not then you haven't studied history regarding to US-Soviet Union relation and McCarthyism era.
 
now you are confusing me...when was a dime made with Roosevelt's face, and when was the half dollar made with JFK's face? so you know Roosevelt was a president before Kennedy...so...let me see.

When was "mind your business" removed, and whose idea was it to put "In God we trust" on our currency? I thought it might've been Abe Licoln aka "Honest Abe" who thought up but I might be wrong...

You speak about the coins that you complaint about removin' "In God we trust", right? Ok, now I would like to explain about "Gia" that is out there.

They remove the trees as well as some religions follow Gia. The paper made from the trees that are worshipped, should we destroy that as well ?

Take the water fountains out, as some religions find water as sacred. Might as well put the Government buildings in a vacuum as well, some worship the air we breathe. These all sound ridiculous, don't they ? But it's all part of removin' the religion from our country, right ?

Let's make the tax payers pay for it, the court costs and the resultin' changes to everythin'. That'll make ya feel just peachy keen, won't it ?
Don't forget to change every and anythin' in the military that deals with religion as well. (Tell SEAL that his badge is unacceptable, see how long you stand/live.)

This is a real can of worms, isn't it ? :)

I can see what you mean here LUNZ, yet for those who are wicked enough to go out and murder, commit other crimes would be UNAmerican, wouldn't you think so? ;) And for all the rest, they would be deemed worthy to have God's blessings as a Nation...therefore, May God Bless America!

As for what was mentioned about the images we have on the back of our paper currency...some of this was 'news' and very informative and interesting to take note of....it seems like our almighty dollar holds more than just the words "In God We Trust"...it is holding a mixture of different propaganda sqeezed and imbedded in every available space...*shakes my head in dismay*....For the words "In God We Trust"...I sure wouldn't like to see that removed....

Whether or not it makes a difference...UNAmerican or a NON-American is just a gesture that shows someone who is a murderer, etc...it isn't the American way...or more bluntly, an American....hopefully this tidbit clears up somewhat~

i think GOD bless american is about pride to live our country. Plain and smiple.

Hey guys, think about this...

The universe exists in one of four objective ways:

1. As a figment of our imagination.
2. It came from nothing.
3. It always existed.
4. It came from an intelligent designer.

Honestly, our minds cannot even begin to comprehend the complexity of the universe, but logic leaves you with only one reasonable answer of the 4 possible solutions I gave you above. Supernatural is hard to believe, I won't lie to you there, but all the other possibilities take MUCH more faith. I don't have enough faith to be an atheist. In God I Trust.

ps. Every "mumbo jumbo" religion tries to be good enough to get to God or their "oneness". That's not it. You can never be good enough to get to God. That's why he sent a Redeemer, a perfect lamb. He is the way, the truth and the life and no one gets to God, but by Him. Heaven isn't full of "good people"; it's full of sinners who repented.

When we say, "God bless America", we are asking God to bless our country.

People in other countries can ask God to bless their countries too. God is not limited to bless just one country.

God only blesses a country if the people and government of that country live holy and obey His Word. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14
