I have that blue ABCs card somewhere.. If I could find it and scan it for you guys to look at.. I got that card from a friend about 10 years ago as a joke.

kevbo, i am going to support deaf people that give random people a card thing where it says you are deaf and ask for $1! what if i tried to talk with public hearing people by communcation.. this would save my neck and i buy it and give to hearing people. :thumb: Msgilz, its not DAMN SCAM.. :laugh2: the most worst Drug dealer and hookers, they break law of the United States. they are SCAM!!!! GoldenLeaf74, they are illegal across united states though.. get it?:shock:
 
But you can get those ABC cards for cheap from Gallaudet bookstore and give it to your friends. why spend 1$ for just one lousy piece of paper?

My roommate in college (who was hearing) bought this card and gave it to me. I told him off to never buy one from them again ever! It was funny, he was :shock: when I shouted at him about it. :laugh2:

OHHH HATE THAT !!! that remind me one day one guy come down to me as i was talk to my hearing friends as body languages etc ... that guy thought that i am deaf as he show me the card and he put his hand out like wait for the money ... i act like hearing and look through my pocket and and found pen and paper and wrote " guess what ???? i want to buy whole cards pls ?" he was freak out and took out and that huge packages of cards and I told him hold on .... let me find the money ... but i took out the lighter and burn it up and he got sooo maaaddd and he want to fight with me then i start use sign langages and told him "FOOK UUUUUU!!!! get out of here I am DEAF !!! " HE WAS FREAK OUT AND LEFT !! my hearing friends asked me why am i doing that ??? i had to explained to them what is it all about ?? and they finally understood and next day my friend come back to me and told me what happen that another deaf keep doing that ... so they told me that they offer them to help them to find a job .. but that guy was gasped and left...

Also, I already told my dad about these cards as he never heard about that then one month later ... he finally met that person and finally understood what i were talk about ... he told them i ain't give u that money cuz i have deaf son who doesn't support like that ... my son is working !! he make the decent living ... why do u have to sell these card it is tough living blah blah then my dad call me and told me all about it as he finally understood why is that .. and told me that he is very proud of me !! that make me feel good to hear from my dad's own words !!

Yes, it is illegal here in USA.

What if it was hearing person pretending to be deaf to make money?

It is like AOL pretending that your dialup account have cable/dsl speeds.

ive had a few run ins with those type of ppl :roll: ive told them im deaf and was signing to them and they :shock: some would answer in signs others dont and just disappear --

its totally a SCAM and CK -- u oughta know it IS a scam :roll:

Oh CK!!.. yes really!!!.. you didnt see my post earlier.. :P, like i said.. ONE of my classmate.. got busted and jailed for 6 months.. because of that.. stupid little sh*t cards.. eh...
yes, I saw deafies or people selling ABC cards, I approached them and told them its illegal to sell, some of them didnt know.. some of them just shrugged and walked away from me.. (it was in the mall that time i saw them doing).. i informed the secuirty.. and let them take care of business..
if you think its ok to sell those ABC cards.. why dont you get a better life and get decent honest job!... :eek:
 
How would i feel? I would tell them that's not very nice to ask them for money. I would teach them for FREE.. I dont give a fuck about the money. Should I beg my daughter to give me $$ while I teach her? that is :nono:

:werd: I teach my boys signs without charging them. :rofl: I just finished teaching my ASL class, and I didn't even contact the college for the money, because I really enjoy teaching these neat students sign language without worrying about getting paid. :thumb:
 
if I ever catch those ppl who tried to sell the cards and act like they are deaf and found out that I'm deaf and they are hearing and try to leave, I'll stop them and give them a bloody nose! I mean a serious one and tell them to get a dumb job!
