How are people dealing with the Heat WAVE!??

We got some rain last night and it helped things down, but it hot all over again!
I think the A/C in my bedroom blow out! I turned it on to cool the room while I took a shower and room was not as cool as I thought it would be. And when I turned the A/C off a blue flash of light came out the off switch! I have not turned it back on! I use a fan instead last night and it does not work as good as a A/C! I think I need a new A/C ! Crap!
I'm sorry that our A/C isn't working.

That's dangerous. You need to contact an A/C specialist for that. It might be the unit, or it might be just the switch but don't touch it yourself.

Is it just the window unit for your bedroom? Do you have other A/C in the other rooms?

 Leather jacket? :hmm:
oh heck no!

Leather is not. Some gear is synthetic, and it's washable.
leather can be washed but with extreme care. but for every time leather gets wet with water, its quality degrades to the point where it will shred like a paper when sliding on street.

The AC in my room isn't work so great and unable to get max cold so it take 5 to 7 days to fix it.

However, heatwave is over in DC now.

Remember the blizzards of 2010? They didn't return (to the mid-atlantic) in 2011. These extreme weather come and go. I don't worry about them becoming patterns.

There is warning about global warming that the weather could get hotter not colder!

I have one in my kitchen but there is no place to sleep ! I do have build in A/C in my wall but is has hornets in again! I was going to replace the old A/C but was worried the hornets would being a nest in that one too! My son in law will help me put a new one in, I rather spend the money on new than pay to have an A/C specialist tell my old on it broken!! I am not going to touch my A/C , I do not want start a fire in my house or get hurt!

That's why I say, practically speaking, leather gear isn't washable.
