Homelessness Claims Growing Number of Unemployed Middle Class

So you have nothing to complain about Carter adminstration? The national debt was the lowest in his time. I would love to see the national debt to be paid off so America would be strong. Right now, the economy is in trouble and Obama needs to make sure that economy is on the rebound before turning his attention on the national debt. So lay off on Obama for now.

I said every president, including Carter. Of course the national debt was lower. That was over 30 years ago. The debt began accumulating during early America. This is what debt accumulation is all about and it gets bigger with each passing year and the deficit gets larger and larger with each passing president. It is a no brainer when it comes to spending money we DO NOT have. You just don't do that knowing you're at point of no return. Amassing debts is not the answer, period. Maxing out on credit cards thinking it's a solution to solve a massive debt problem is not the answer, too.

CBO's projection over 8 years with Obama in White House on deficit spending would amount to about $11 trillion dollars, easily twice that of Bush' 8 years of deficit spending.

Could you please provide me the link to the graph you mentioned?

Just because a projection is made doesn't mean it will happen kokonut.

Do you believe everything you read?

Jiro,

That's right. I forgot. You expect every President in office to be perfect. Sad to say, Obama isn't perfect -- he's human. At least he acknowledges his mistakes unlike GW Bush.

and exactly where did I say that I expect the President to be perfect? Again - yesterday, you have misremember my posts. I clearly and repeatedly stated that I, as American citizen, will criticize any Presidents all I want as the Amendment 1 afforded me to do so. :cool2:

Since you have bragged about your "steel trap" memory, surely - you would remember that I have criticized harshly on GWB and Dick Cheney as well. so yes you're right about one thing - "You Forgot" :cool2:

Jiro,

I didn't fail to remember anything yesterday. I think you're confused about what actually happened. You say one thing in your posts and then deny them at a later time, but that's okay. Old habits die hard. :)

But I already provided my old posts as proof. They were consistent with my current post. It does not back your allegation. You have not been able to dispute it with proof. :cool2:

You did not answer my question in my post #87. Did I say that I expect every President to be perfect?

Jiro,

I'm in the process of gathering evidence. Be patient my friend. :)

oh ok cool. meanwhile - I'm wondering why am I not in bed yet at this ungodly hour but I had a long nap earlier due to cough medicine :mad2:

Sorry you aren't feeling well. I'm up because I lost track of time. The last I checked, it was 10:30 and I was getting ready to go to bed, but then I went to read my e-mail and ended up here. :giggle:

Lack of sleep is not good for my moods, but I think I'll be okay. I can always take a nap this afternoon. I don't have anything planned for today.

Um, hence the word "projection." Both the CBO and the White House both made projections. Things can and do change but if the mindset of president who thinks the answer to help solve a debt problem by adding more debts then surely that'll be the trend for the next 3.6 years.

He continues to spend money we don't have.
He continues to add new programs costing taxpayers additional billions of dollars more and not to mention billions more just to maintain those new or expanded programs. Money we don't have.

Please be aware that maxing out on credit cards isn't the solution to a debt problem. Everybody knows that, except Obama, of course.

kokonut,

If you are making a projection, it is not fact.

Therefore, you cannot claim with any validity that Obama will exceed GW Bush in terms of spending.

kokonut,

People were maxing their credit cards well before Obama became President. Obama has nothing to do with it.

I have criticized Bush and all other presidents for allowing the debt to increase. When Bush took office, the national debt was $5.73 trillion. When he left, it was $10.7 trillion. That's a difference of $4.97 trillion dollars over 8 years. I believe in fiscal responsibility. Do you? Apparently Obama does not believe in it since he's already 1/3 the way to a total of $4.97 trillion dollars in matching Bush's increase in debt. The audacity here is that Obama managed to do that in his first few months as president. Obama will create the largest national debt ever in all of U.S. history. Just watch.

Why do you keep talking about all those big old numbers that all us poor ignorant people don't understand? Are you just trying to confuse us with all them big old numbers?

No. Again, I stated that many people *are* clueless on what a trillion dollar looks like. It's a fact. Some people just do not realize how large a number, trillion, is like when it comes to money.

Learn not to be soooo defensive next time. :giggle:

Don't need to know what it looks like to grasp the concept of the amount. Only someone without fluid intelligence and critical thinking skills needs to have such a concrete example.:cool2:

Next time, don't be so insulting toward people's ability to comprehend.:cool2:

a few does. the many doesn't.

What a shame that I didn't have you and Kokonut around to help me complete 2 advanced degrees. You could have explained all those abstract concepts to me so much easier.

Jillio,

I'm sure that post didn't make you happy, but I had to chuckle at your comment. It is rather insulting though.
