Hollywood will do a remake of...

Blah.
Whomever picked up the rights for these movies are securing what they can
before someone else does. it's really that simple. A lot of companies are in competition to snag up rights to all movies from the 70's, 80's (by 2010 it will be early 90's) but that does not guarantee a remake. Most of these movies wil just be kicked around for a few years then nothing will happen.

I pray there will NOT be a remake for "The Warriors." That was also the cult classic of the 1970s, which of course there was a videogame based on that movie for the PS2/Xbox afew years ago.

duh they should knock it off making remakes, geez whats the hell wrong with them?
the original one was fine, leave it as it is, like how about if they consider looking into the old Sci-fi air-brush pictorial book(s) 'the Immortals" that will give ideas.... bloody hell why dont Hollywood retards give me an email, hell a plane ticket....id consult them

They're running out of ideas. They're running out of titles.

So, they're either recycling titles or remaking titles. ;)

they wont be, with my ideas , lol jk

but yeah seriously they could employ this idea, dammit

I really hope they will not do the remake of Predator. We've been waiting for YEARS on Predator 3.

Remaking the orginal Predator movie is just a big fat waste of time, honestly.

good ol' arnie is SO gonna be offended to that.

Sure enough, he will be! These films that he starred would be remade, WTF!?

FYI, he's doing another cameo, in one of the new films, not sure which.

The only very good movie remake I ever seen in years was Ocean's 11 starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts. (Ocean's 12 was fucking horrible. Ocean's 13 was good...just not that good.)

The rest of the other remakes I've seen...crap crap AND crap. It is usually difficult to remake a movie THAT good over a movie that was already a cult classic such as Total Recall, Neverending story, and even Predator. Those movies were good, so why need to remake them, honestly?

Perhas remaking orginal movies that were shitty into better movies would be a good idea, yes?

It doesn't matter if they are good or not, the bottom line is, they are moneymakers. Titles people are familiar with are potential revenues for the studios.

That's the point.

Actually, there are boatloads of great scripts to pick from, but they aren't being even read by the executives. That's how stupid they are.

Oh yes, boatloads indeed. These people are stupid enough not to think about $$$, they can get from when the movie is made and released, for example, you know Dark Knight has makde the $1 billion gross.

Oh yea one of the best movies never be forgotten in years. :)

Speaking of remaking movies..this is probably kind of off topic but I hate the new release of Disney films..such as the Lion King. I was completely disappointed.

Lion King came out around 15 years ago. Hardly new. It was actually an unofficial remake of Kimba - The White Lion.
