Hollywood will do a remake of...

Was that the same movie that arnie made back in the 90's?

More remakes, what the world has Hollywood gone to?! Ahhhh...my eyes burns!

Losing the creativeness?

They are remaking The Neverending Story too as well.

The Neverending story?! Another one? It better be good!

I have a better idea...how about just doing The Neverending Story 4?

No? I guess they arent smart enough to even title that.

Hmm... I wonder how these movies will do. I have the original Total Recal on DVD. :)

Such as...?

If most remakes flopped, then they wouldn't be making more.

The Day The Earth Stood Still did okay around here, but it made around 150 million overseas totalling $230 million. That's more than good enough for the studios. Even that awful remake of Prom Night made a nice profit when it came out last year. There weren't a lot of remakes last year though, but it's looking like we're getting quite a few this year.

This year, Friday the 13th made quite a pretty profit even though it dropped more than 80% on its second weekend. Another successful remake would be My Bloody Valentine 3-D.

The point is, it's relatively easy to profit off remakes especially these in the horror genres due to the low budgets. However, it's sometimes a different story when it comes to big budget movies.

It doesn't matter if a movie make only $30 million at the box office as long the movie costs only $15 million. They still turn a profit.

The only very good movie remake I ever seen in years was Ocean's 11 starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts. (Ocean's 12 was fucking horrible. Ocean's 13 was good...just not that good.)

The rest of the other remakes I've seen...crap crap AND crap. It is usually difficult to remake a movie THAT good over a movie that was already a cult classic such as Total Recall, Neverending story, and even Predator. Those movies were good, so why need to remake them, honestly?

Perhas remaking orginal movies that were shitty into better movies would be a good idea, yes?
