This is a silly way of asking question "Can you hear without hearing aids?".

Of course she can not hear without hearing aid(s). She is hard of hearing which mean she has a hard time hearing without her aids. No matter if she has mild to moderate hearing loss, she hardly can not hear unless if a person speak close to her or loud enough for her to hear without aids. It is the sound she can not hear. :roll:
