Hi! I'm Steph and I was born hearing. Since I was 17 I began to slowly lose my hearing. Now at 23 I have about 20-30% loss in each ear. I don't mind. I grew up signing. My best friend growing up was Deaf, my aunt is non-verbal, so luckily I have experience with ASL. I'm hoping to meet other HOH or Deaf people in my area! I live about 45 minutes from NYC so hopefully some of you are up to get to know each other!
 
Hey, i have also been Losing my hearing since i was 17 myself, but i am only 18 with what i think is a Low frequency mild-moderate loss. I hope my hearing doesn't get worse. I thought i was the only one who started losing her hearing at 17, well i am glad that is not the case. I am learning BSL, not because i think i am really going to need it that much, but because i enjoy deaf culture. I don't know a lot of BSL and i hope i don't get the same level of hearing as you when i am 23. who says it's going to Happen anyway. I live in England so no luck there sorry.
