When you say such things, you are insulting us because you are implying that since we are deaf, we have no life either. I totally disagree with that. I dont want someone to tell me that I have no life because Im deaf.

Hey i tried too... Marines turned me down cause i was HOH at the time. I was happy working in the movie theater i loved my job and GOD took it away from me. Until god sends his men and heals me i cant get a job so there.

That was real interesting Beowulf and for the way you manhandled it--wtg!! Although, being in a construction business and the likelihood that you could run into this cement crew down the road could backfire, but seeing how you were able to get around it, I'm sure you won't find yourself in any 'hot water'....Like us2btrader indicated, it does show that there are many ways how anyone could have dealt with this. The way you went about it sure produced some good o' laughs--thanks! ;)

Ravensteve, a lot of Deafies work in contruction. I am an independent contractor and have my own business. I am getting out of it soon though, since I am getting rather long in the tooth for it.
And yeah, I will need to watch my back for a while. A couple buddies came by last night and told me they heard a couple of the crew were itching to shove my nose down my throat, so they kept me company all night. Unfortunately they brought some bad-assed dandelion wine and got me totally snockered, lol. Anyway, I will stay away from that site until they complete the job, and I will certainly have my work inspected and verified once i complete it. Just to be safe.
