$30 for a fill up?!? I put $27 in yesterday and I was at half a tank! My car gets about 24 mpg. I wish my new one would arrive.. *sigh!*

I drive a "mid-size" Buick Century (about 20 ft long) and have spent over $60 for a week's worth of gas. That's tough on $7/hr. Ten years ago, I had a Buick LeSabre (25 ft long and HEAVY). I don't want to think what I'd pay for a week's worth for that boat.

US public transportation can't compare to the buses and subway in London. I was over there 25 years ago and didn't need a car. I'd be stuck at home without a job if I had to rely on the Lexington or San Antonio bus systems.

yeah I live in rural country. I want to walk around the blocks here but problem with loose dogs and rattle snakes out there. I used to walk with my son's dog and missed her since she lives with my son in other rural area on west side. Wish can afford horse to ride around here cuz they are good exercise.

Thanks, maybe someday we will get dog ourselves. They live about 30 miles away from us.

We live in S California. Many neighbors of ours have horses. Someday if we are well off then we will have horse on our property.

I have been using my motorcycle as much as I could. It only costs me approx 4 dollars to fill up my Honda Rebel (cmx250) every 2 days... save approx 500.00 a month.

Many of my family from Europe so they use walk from home to tram for school,college, work, friends, etc.. Not many of them own cars.

Yeah if u live here then u will know we do not have many jobs in this area so we have to drive hour or more one way to work. sometime people have to pay around 400 to 700 dollars per month on gas only esp if people only earn minumum wages. Plus many of them does not work full time jobs and no health benefits. so it is suck that we do not have many stuffs alike europe do have, heatlh system for them. of course we pay alot of taxes on everything.

Hmm. I live near Chicago. I have two jobs. 1st I work for Canon as Tech Line Coordinator in 6 years and 2nd job just short on/off/on/off whatever they need me for repair Computer. I pay $50 per week. My workplace is 40 miles away from my home. I will move to place later since workplace moved far away for bigger build last year.

You know? Europe is not really GREAT system for support deaf people for jobs and SSI.


I dont understand most american people spend lot money for fast food in everyday during work day. Why not bring homemake for lunch and dinner. That save lot money than fast food. Why they have BIG SUV/truck and they kill gas. I noticed many people dont know how to use manaul so they use automatic but automatic almost $1k more than manual for car. Manual save your gas. Most Europe dont have automatic cars.

I agree IMO, people in america need to stop complaining about gas prices, this is what some people live with everyday and if they can't put their love for V8's and hugeass SUV away nothing can help them.

Gas prices are bullshit, Arab countries have PLENTY of oils then why does not ship to USA. Back to 1989, when I was 1 years old and gas price was $1.20 in summer and $0.90 in late fall/winter. Bush's friend supports high gas but Bush is big lie on us.

We don't need homemade lunches, only 99.8% students buy school lunches and lunches at fast food but school lunches are $3 with soda, deli is little cheaper, just like $2.50 with soda. I always buy lunches at fast food after school is out at 1:30 everyday except on Monday and Wednesday since it get out at 2:15. Well, It's your decide if you love homemade lunches then bring it everyday but not force to people that want follow as you said.

Almost got mine last year. Decided to hold off because I was torn between 2 different cars, but went ahead and ordered it recently. Waiting for it to come in.
