Isaiah 62:11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Came across this quote in search for devotional material and thought could share it with you in light of the holiday season. The author is not known but he is surely wise.

"If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator. If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist. If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist. If our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer..... but our greatest need was forgiveness, so God sent us a Savior."

Yes, God sent us a Savior -- that we might know His forgiveness. But not only that we might know it. God sent us a Savior so that we, who have been given the privilege of this knowledge, might go and share the good news of His forgiveness with all the world!

Let's cherish His forgiveness today. Let's revel in it and let all who don't know that they can have the same!

Your family in the Lord with much agape love and God Bless You Today.

Forgiveness can bring healing in its wings :thumb:  :ily:

Heath, this coming hot on the heels of another topic makes me wonder and ask you if your'e asking for forgiveness for some of your online behavior?

If you are, I forgive ya; just don't keep making the same mistakes over and over; it gets old fast!

You have a good day now, hear?

I am not gonna kiss somebody's feet like a dog and say I am sorry like a homeless beggar to arrogant person just because you want the cruel sastifaction with alots of strings attached and continue to be mean no matter what I say. That is the analysis here.

True sorry means really sorry.

Person accepting the apology means okay forgiven with no strings attached and no more abuse person with hidden agenda or motives.

That is why it will never work for you Galaxyangel
.

I'm with Tousi on this. You're forgiven, Hope you don't repeated your actions. ;)

Heath,

True humility would show that you are truly apologetic and it's not necessary to keep dredging this up. Doing so, you are bringing up more problems for yourself. Let the past lay, for crying out loud...enough already! :dizzy: Furthermore, my hearing dog doesn't kiss anyone's feet, not even mine, so I find your comment insulting

Your savior basically did that. He washed his servant's feet as an act of love. You seem to be above everyone else in the world, secure in your belief that being a Christian makes you better than everyone else. How terrible of you to miss the whole point of your savior's teaching.

:gpost:

I concur, Dennis. Not only that, Jesus was bare naked when He washed the disciples feet.

I do forgive people, but this person i wont forgive is my ex step-dad. all things he has done to my family was terrbile!! Yes i will forgive him WHEN he wakes up and relazie abt what he has done and grow up and be mature.

Now where does it say that? I can't recall reading that He was without clothing...have you got a Biblical quote for that?

I don't think anybody's asking you to love the actions he's done that are wrong, or even to not consider the likelihood of him doing others. Nor is anybody necessarily asking you to spend a lot of time with him. But at least releasing the anger will probably help you to lead a happier life.

I can't tell you how to get there because I don't know you or your situation...these are just my thoughts.

I guess I would have assumed wrongly that his asking for forgiveness was a result of ...."until he realize what happens".
