for Ddeaf/Hhoh drivers....

I'm wondering. Do they have warning device like firetruck siren or ambulance siren for Ddeaf/Hhoh drivers?.

Two Deaf lady got hurt in an car accident because they can't hear ambulance siren and they got hit. That was a long time ago I think in 1994-1995, I don't remember when.

How come they don't make warning device for Ddeaf/Hhoh driver. Should have done a long time ago.

I almost didn't hear firetruck siren coming and I noticed everyone stop, not moving. I was like that's firetruck coming.

What do you think? Should they make warning device for the Ddeaf/Hhoh drivers?

EDIT: What I'm trying to explain is that for Ddeaf/Hhoh to have flashlight for warning so to let you know that firetruck or ambulance coming then you'd be aware and pullover to the curb.

They should make warning device.

yes i know i try find but not sure if they work on it

last time i got pulled over from asshole cops

becasue reason that 3 thing

never got ticket

1. light back of truck broken

2. ran over red light

3. wait for them to clear road but i didt know i block that road becasue there was totaled car front of me so
all 3 time never got ticket for like year now

i did ran over red light like 20 times no ticket wow

hope not today lol

i think if you have big mirrow it should flash light i can see it easy
 
I see these ambulances, fire and police flash lights in the mirror. Even, I saw one Ford Falcon in black color and it was undercover car, and it was wolfing past, with tons of blue and red lights flashing. :eek3:
 
I always see the lights and see drivers slowing down, etc.

I don't think they are going to make special warning systems for deaf/hoh.

Ran over redlight is very stupid!! You can get killed from that.

I have radar detectors and it's alarm me from firefighter truck and ambulance. Radar detectors flash and said "emergency vehicles" or something. Not just for police like everyone think.
 
That's good idea for deaf/hoh to have a radar detectors. But 1 problem this is for hearing to hear a beep. That what my husband told me. He can hear when it's police and ambulance with red light flash from radar. Why not we have an invent to make a radar detectors with flash lights to alert to deaf/hoh? I hope it will coming up with technology.
 
Flash + night time = BLIND and crash. Bad idea! I am happy with red LED and easy to noticed.
 
I am kind of surprised if some of you are unable to hear the sirens. In my case, I am able to hear sirens blaring.

im not stupid sometime i was chat with friend and see yellow and dont have time to brake or we throw out window
most time when i work i dont want shit on my truck fall off becasue when i work i always have heavy shit in my back truck

That's your opinion. If flash light will not cause blind and crash. I am talking about radar's detector for deaf and hoh will able to see the red light. If deaf people can't hear the siren walling. What they will do?? Just use radar with flash light to alert them. They will move and stop on the side until ambulance, police, fire truck pass. It will be easy for them. Why not same with VP's flash light??
 
I can't hear high pitch, so I can't hear sirens at all. None of them. One time, a police car was behind me and I got nervous because I knew I couldn't hear sirens that I was paying more attention to his car than to driving and watching the mirror to see the lights go off. Sure enough, he pulls me over. And he tells me I'm driving too slow and went over the white line once (on the right side of the road) and he asked me what's going on. So I calmly explain my story (that I can't hear sirens and I'm afraid of unknowingly ignoring him) and he goes "that makes sense, I'll let you off with a warning." He told me the speed limit and let me go. I ended up being late for a gathering of friends. I told them the story as for my excuse as to why I was late. That was a mistake for they remind me everytime a police man is around.

Wear seat belt and won't throw you out the window. No seat belt is stupid then.

I carry 500lbs load in company van and still never drove thru red light.

VP's light is LED.

Same thing Radar device use.

what about truck
it not same van

whatever about seat belt

we do more than 500 lbs like stone and woods and sand in pallet there many way to can be heavy and loose in back not same van and i feel brake is bad too
 
Hearing NOR the lack of it are a basis for safe driving. Just be ever-vigilant with your eyes!
