No. This is what you are seeing happen NOW, while abortion is legal. Why? Because people who own the abortion clinics are in it for the money, just like this doctor was in it for the money.
Good point!

Yep, and these less than reputable clinics would not be in business if the reputable ones were allowed to practice medicine in accordance with the law without the threat of being bombed, doctors being killed, and patients accosted. The demand is there for the procedure. This is just more evidence that when the right to lifers close clinics, women will go elsewhere to get the procedure that they are legally permitted to request.
All abortions are Unethical. I'm glad this one was illigal and hope that he gets punished. Along with those that abort girls who've been molested without telling anyone about it.
By killing the doctors or nurses performing the abortions is going against the principle the pro-lifers stand by, isnt it?
You might want to double check that....And the clinics are regulated by federal law and state medical boards.

There are more of them operating under the radar. They don't get reported until something goes wrong. This is the exception.
Numbers please.... However, practitioners like these take advantage of the fact that many qualified and reputable doctors have given up performing this necessary procedure because of the fanatics that position themselves outside of clinics accosting patients and employees, the number of bomb attacks that have been accomplished against legal and reputable clinics, etc.
But disreputable ones do want the risk?... reputable practitioners don't want to risk being killed or maimed while practicing legal medicine.
Of course it is, but they seem to have a blind spot on the topic.

I think it is very unethical of them to harrass others because others dont share their viewpoints.
What if I harrassed or threatened people because they are against abortions for themselves? Of course, they would tell me it is wrong but yet, they do it too! The "it is ok for me to do it but not ok for others..." attitude.
Since abortion is legal, there's no reason for "unregulated" clinics unless the other clinics are too expensive, or the woman has something else to hide (such as immigration status), or the woman wants an illegal procedure (such as a late-term abortion). And the unregulated clinics are operating because there is a need for abortion. There is quite obviously a demand for the procedure. Those who campaign and use violence to close reputable clinics are as responsible for the proliferation of unregulated clinics as they would be for back street abortionists still doing the procedure if Roe v Wade were overturned.
So a doctor with "malpractice suits galore" and is under investigation wants to get into more trouble?Disreputable ones are much more likely to take the risk, yes. There are numerous reasons for that. A doctor with a clean record and an unrestricted license can practice anywhere. He/she is less likely to risk his life simply to make a living when it isn't necessary for him to do so. However, a doctor with violations and malpractice suits galore will do whatever he can to make aliving because his options are so limited. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

I love your POV.Each state decides the licensing of clinics. Some license, some don't. Some who license have only done so in recent years. There is no nationwide standard for licensing abortion clinics.Abortion, under specific guidelines, is allowable under federal law within those guidelines. The doctors that perform those abortions are licensed through the state medical boards, and the state medical boards are responsible for insuring that the licensed physicians adhere to practice standards and ethical guidelines. The facility itself is licensed by state. What exactly is it that you would have me check?

Any medical facility is licensed. And especially any medical clinic that pperforms any kind of invasive procedure. The only time you will find a clinic that is not licensed is in the case of the report that you posted, where the physician, also, was not licensed.
Any clinic that is not licensed should be investigated and pay the fines..doesnt matter what kind of medical procedures they specialize in.
