This is why the whole clinic has to be held responsible - not just the doctor.

The clinic [owners, nurses, receptionist and the doctors] because they all knew what was going on yet continued operating illegal abortions.

:gpost: that's why this is under investigation. Maybe the clinic did not know of doctor's medical license status

It is their business to know. Also, the clinic owner, who is not a licensed medical professional, is the one that is accused of cutting the umbilical cord and disposing of the fetus.

The clinic should have known because any excellent employer would have done a criminal check and the Medical Board check as well.

It would be such a careless choice not to do so.

ugh :barf: unconscionable....

Especially when it appears from the article that he was working for the same clinic when the Medical Board restricted his license. This information, as well, is a matter of public record, and is easily checked.

That's the thing of the whole thing, what is the owner doing touching the umbilical cord and cutting it then disposing the fetus?

The owner has no business doing medical work at all much less operating an abortion clinic with unlicensed doctors.

...This is PRECISELY what would happen if abortion was abolished. We will see THOUSANDS of cases like this. This incident is unfortunate but gladly enough - he's caught and arrested.
No. This is what you are seeing happen NOW, while abortion is legal. Why? Because people who own the abortion clinics are in it for the money, just like this doctor was in it for the money.

Correct.

When abortion was banned, women had no access to safe, clean, lawful clinics.... thus leading to numerous of unnecessary, brutal deaths. Now the lives of women have been spared under Roe v. Wade.

so yes things fall thru crack now and then. nice try... but this was an abortion clinic where doctor has performed ILLEGAL procedure with LIMITED medical license. Under current abortion law and medical ethic - this was not allowed. beside.... isn't everybody of all businesses in it for money? including the pharmaceutical companies that produced your medications? It's better to have medication that was legal & regulated than illegal & unregulated, right?

That is outrageous!
I don't believe in abortion. Period. Sorry!
Again, it's still outrageous! :mad2:

This is the exception. The majority of practitioners do not operate in this manner. That is why it made the news. However, practitioners like these take advantage of the fact that many qualified and reputable doctors have given up performing this necessary procedure because of the fanatics that position themselves outside of clinics accosting patients and employees, the number of bomb attacks that have been accomplished against legal and reputable clinics, etc.

The demand for abortions is there, quite obviously, or these clinics would not be able to stay in business. It is truly a shame that a legal procedure that should be performed under safe and sterile conditions as a matter of law and choice has been made into something that back alley practitioners such as this are continuing to perform because reputable practitioners don't want to risk being killed or maimed while practicing legal medicine.

No different than ASL interpreters that are providing the service and are in it for the money as well. What's the difference?

Again it's OUTRAGEOUS that people want to ban abortions against women especially women with terminal diseases. By banning the abortion--all you are doing is bringing a new life into the world with the same disease as the mother.

News Flash!!!!

Doctor loses license in live birth abortion case

(Doctor is on RIGHT side. the left is his attorney)

The doctor, Pierre Jean-Jacques Renelique, was not present when the baby was born, but the Florida Medical Board upheld Department of Health allegations that he falsified medical records, inappropriately delegated tasks to unlicensed personnel and committed malpractice.

The state attorney's office, meanwhile, said its criminal investigation into the incident is ongoing and no charges have been filed. A fetus born alive cannot be put to death even if its mother intended to have an abortion, police said when the incident occurred in 2006.

Women still suffer "unnecessary, brutal deaths" at the hands of abortionists. They aren't all recorded or publicized.

Do you know how common that is?

Right now, abortion clinics are legal but not regulated in many areas but people think they are regulated. That's even more dangerous.

There's nothing wrong with working for a profit. What's wrong is when the desire for profit supersedes the well-being of those in their care, and becomes the be all and end all.

The number of abortions performed in the United States is decreasing due to new technology as women can now "pop a pill" to terminate the pregnancy.

However--it is still a medical necessity to have abortion due to unforseen circumstances where the pill won't be able to terminate it.

So--pro-lifers--you should be happy that the number of abortions are decreasing--if not--then you have a serious emotional/mental health issue.

And the reason that women still suffer at the hands of less than reputable doctors is a direct result of those who have attempted to force their views and their morals on an entire country.

Makes me wonder why these women seek out unregulated abortion clinics? Fear of shame or of being judged by others?
