Favourite Christmas Specials?

I just remembered to watch A Christmas Story on tv. It was filmed in Cleveland Ohio.

It was also partly filmed in St. Catharines, Ontario where I live.

My boys like "Elf"....I like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Charlie Brown"

I like all xmas speicals but I like hallmark hall of fame the best be cause they come up with wonderful story lines that brings me to tears when they make wonderful xmas speicals shows.

Oh, yeah! I still watch A Charlie Brown Christmas every year. I just love it. And I like the cartoon version of the Grinch, too.:giggle: I'm just a big kid at heart when it comes to Christmas.

It looks like Charlie Brown Christmas got a few votes here:giggle: :h5:

I hear the new one with Jim Carey is quite good!

Yeah, I've been wanting to see that one too. Apparently the same people who made the animated A Christmas Carol also made The Polar Express. I enjoyed The Polar Express, so I have no doubt that A Christmas Carol is good.

May favorites are:

Frosty the Snowman, (have it)
Frosty Returns (have it)
Santa is Comin' To Town, (have it)
A Charlie Brown Christmas (have it)
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (don't have it)
A Christmas Story (have it)
The Santa Clause (have it in VHS format, need it in DVD/blu-ray format)
A Christmas Carol (will have it)
The Polar Express (looking for it)

Yup come next year I should have quite a Christmas DVD collection. Rentals are $20/night. Late fees are an additional $20 per day.

That's a good list! The only one in that list I haven't seen is "A Christmas Story". The only one in that list that I don't like is "Santa is Comin' To Town". Good choices!

I don't like Miracle on 34th Street. I like the Charlie Brown shows, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and The Polar Express. I also realy, really like Nightmare Before Christmas. I like most anything from Tim Burton. I like the animated Grinch, but i detest anything with Jim Carrey. I know, I know, I'm not normal.:giggle:

For all my fellow Canadians who are looking for an early start to the holiday TV season, Elf is on CBC @ 7PM tonight. :)

I love Elf, Miracle of the 34th street, Santa Claus the movie and in the nick of time

I love to watch the movies called "Santa Claus, the movie and Santa Claus the 2nd movie" by the role of Santa Claus played by Tim Allen the best. Tim Allen is better than Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey is all right but Tim Allen is great. Also I like to watch "Jack Frost" by another actor (can not remember his name, he used to play the role of Batman). The movie was new like several years ago, possibly five years or so. :hmm:

Mod's Note:

The thread has been moved to it's proper location.

Anyway,

In it's funny/wacky sense; I've always loved watching Chevy Chase in it's "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation".

I recently watched "Four Christmases" with Reese Witherspoon and Vincent Vaughn in it. I thought it was funny but yet, it tugs the emotion of the storyline.

The Christmas Story is a classic one that everyone knows by heart. My favorite part of that movie is where the boy got his tongue stuck on the freezing pole, lol.
