Fave Cake

OooOoO First of all, i think all of your birthday lambs are so beautiful. It's a sweet and thoughtful of your hubby. it's a nice feeling to have a tradition "lamb" cake for your birthday. I realllly love the decoration of your carrot cake lamb with cutie carrots. yummy

secondly, i love carrot cake!! I woud like to have walnuts, raisin and chocolate chips inside the carrot cake. i still eat carrot cake with out those yummy goodies inside, as well. Especially, i love cream cheese frosting. :drooling:

editted: were that gold necklace food/frosting too?
The carrot cake had real carrot pieces in it, and nuts. The frosting was very thick; it was yummy! :P

Everything on the cake was edible except the necklace.

The garden "dirt" was crushed oreo. We served the cake with vanilla ice cream, and we sprinkled the "dirt" on the ice cream.

The only sad part is when we cut up the head of the lamb. Bye-bye lamb!

My favorite cake actually comes in a different flavor cake and frosting every year. It is my birthday cake. One year, after my mom died, I told him how I missed my childhood birthday cakes from my mom. Since my birthday was usually near Easter, she always made me a three-dimensional "lamb" cake.
Awesone, I am glad to finally meet someone else whos family does Lambs Cake :)

My all time favorite and my grandmother made it for me every birthday, real from scratch German Chocolate Cake and German Icing(the sticky sweet/nutty). My grams mother, my granny, was a little German woman whos braids touched the floor when she unwound her bun.
No other person, and certainly no bakery, ever comes close to their recipes.

I received this funny little cake recipe in email......

Most Dangerous Cake Recipe in the World

MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Nuts (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, mix well. Add egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in milk and oil and mix well. Add chocolate chips and nuts (if using)

and vanilla, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high. The cake

will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed ... it won't run over.
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve

2 if you want to share!)

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now

we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day

or night!

I absolutely LOVE these cakes --

Tiramisu

Red Velvet Cake

Cheesecakes (either with Strawberry or Cherry Glaze)

Orange Juice Cake (so sweet but so tangy)

Oh and before I forget to add this -- These ice cream cake from Dairy Queen are "mmmm!" to die for! :D
Ooh... I like velvet cake too!

One time, I went to this buffet in a casino in Oklahoma. I had their velvet cake and it was creamy and moist! It was so rich that what seemed to be a simple piece of cake... really filled me up like I had 10 pieces!

Yay! That makes 3 moderators that love Red Velvet cakes... :D

I am in the mood for some Red Velvet cake now. :)

I don't really care for most cakes, but I like cheesecakes, marble and carrot cakes.

This cake is actually good. I made it and ate it yesterday.

My birthday cake this year (I get a lamb every year).

This year's lamb was in camouflage, resting on crushed Oreo "dirt" with two edible "shotgun shells." The cake itself was chocolate. Very yummy. :)
