Anyways next week the 27th January is the New Hampshire Primary. Dick Gephardt is expected to quit the race tomorrow.

That leaves the following candidates as we go to New Hampshire (Ranking by the final Iowa caucus results):

Moseley Braun quit the race last week and endorsed Dean.

oh dear. We will have a presidental election this year? eep. In november right? allright it should give me some time to look up some candidates to vote for.

So those Iowan folks are candidates for president or..?? I dont see why there is a big fuss about Iowa... should they be more concerned about winning California or New York for the electoral college votes?

I am hoping I am using the right jargon...

sablecort> I just looked at the clark website that you posted in your signature... I have read an article there that Michael Moore, my favorite guy, supports him. I am curious to know your opinions about Clark because I have seen that link for a while so what is up about him? :D Enlighten me. ;)

I decided to throw my support behind Clark because of his high quality leadership. His 34 years in the Army, starting at West Point (the Army's college) at age 17, has proven to me that he is truly the leader America needs. Our foreign relations with other countries were screwed 100 ways from Sunday by Bush since 9/11 and the Iraq mess. Our jobs are being shipped overseas, Corporate greed (Enron, Martha Stewart). I'm confident Clark can truly straighten out the mess that Bush is leaving us with.

Clark is a lot more like Clinton since both grew up in Arkansas. Both men went to Oxford, England on Rhodes scholars. Clinton and Clark both had fathers die when they were young (Clinton's father was killed in car wreck before he was born. Clark's father, Benjamin Kanne died when Clark was 4 years old).

Clark also has a few huge advantages over Clinton: He has never ran for political office until September 2003 after being drafted by a lot of supporters when he appeared on CNN during the opening days of the Iraq war. The other advantage is: There is no scandal that could touch Clark (i.e -a repeat of Whitewater and the l'affaire Monica ) except some have accused him of being a Republican (voted for Reagan in 1980) but hey in 1980 Democrats voted for Reagan at that time too.

Hope this helps u to get the idea gnarlydorkette ;)

You know I am scared to trust another President, Clark looks like he can change the way Bush had left behide like what he promises us American That no child should be left behide right? Since President Bush took office. Today, 13 million young people go without health insurance. And every day, millions of children across America attend classes in schools that are overcrowded, underfunded and failing. For three long years, our president has made all the wrong choices for our children. President Bush talks a lot about family values, but it's clear from his record he doesn't value families. He talks a lot about leaving no child behind, but the Leave No Child Behind Act is just that -- an Act. An unfunded mandate that sets standards for our schools without providing the funds they need to meet them.

Dat true ......that is why Bush has to GO! He ain't fit to wear the hat of the President of the United States. That is why I believe we need Clark as much as he needs us to make democracy truly work and have to Government back to its true roots.

well... Every President failed their prombise.. they cannot prombise everything..

since the health care issue.. it basically state's fault.. due to budget problems..

Many states nationwide owe money to banks because they spent too much money on road constrution, new stadiums, new roads, extra police, extra firefighter, mother earth disaters, and so on.. mostly it's states fault to spent so much money and burrowing money from federal banks making them owe them back.. here in Minn.. billions of dollars that State of Minn owe the banks..
What i see.. Minn is improving since new governor Pawlewski joined.. Ventura really mess everything up.. however pawlewski seem that cuts aren't fair but it's working.. he cut welfare, health care, health insurance for poor family, reducing cost of assidance, pay freeze for state workers. however it works and Minn is improving.. it's not depend on Bush..

Well,

If the President of U.S. had promise the American people the things he/she said..Then I expect the President to keep his/her word!....

U can't just decide that you are going to become a President of USA by snapping your finger ...U become a President because the Amercian people are voting for you when you make a promise to the people of the US you keep that promise or otherwise you will lose the next time u run for a President!...

It's sad to hear that Presidents had broken too much promise!

*shaking my head*.....

Bush broke a lot promises more than any other president as I recall. No President is "infallible" when it comes to promises and keeping 'em.

I have to point out that the U S Government is made up of 3 branches: Executive (President), Legislative (Congress) and Judicial (Courts) and the President has to work with Congress to get laws passed and what-not. This system has worked so well for us since 1787.

But lately I have seen Bush's actions regarding the Government and America. I fear that 4 more years of Bush will slowly turn America more into a Police State as George Orwell described in his novel "1984". There is too much on Bush's actions since he "stole the election" from us like bypassing Congress last Friday to appoint a judge that the Democrats were against, his plotting to take out Saddam during the 1st cabinet meeting (according to Paul O'Neill, ex-secretary of the Treasury), the illogical and unconstitutional Patriot Act, and a laundry list of stuff no other President had dared to do. Bush's actions makes Nixon's Watergate and Clinton's l'affaire Monica look like child's play!

However *end rant* I'm veering off topic and time to steer back and focus on the Democratic Presidential Primaries (1 state down, 49 to go ) and pick the guy to challenge Bush and send him back to the Pig Ranch in Texas on January 20, 2K5.
